We have not been able to find what we really want, or we have not made progress towards it in the time we have been alive. This naturally leads to feelings of disappointment, anger or frustration.

Burnout a concern

It is funny how we always think that we are smart and can always manage our stressors. Yet we pay no attention to them until when it is too late. Amna has done a good job in researching and putting together in an easy to read way the science behind the stressors and the different tips to reduce and eliminate stress. First one needs to identify the stressors and figure out the different ways of preventing them as highlighted in the book. Grab a copy if you are experiencing burnout from stressors.

A great book!

This book guides the listener step by step towards a positive life with a psychological and at the same time sociological approach. The book has a coherent structure and a good narration. I enjoyed listening to it.

Time to take care of me!

We all have a lot going on in our lives and sadly we have made it into our new norm to be stressed and spend so much of our time trying to recover. I myself am infamous for adding more and more to my plate to somehow prove what I can handle but eventually it all comes to a boil and then I breakdown. This book focuses on preventing the stressors by adding boundaries into our lives and then reducing the stress that we cannot prevent. The author does an amazing job of explaining why self care is so important the damage stress can do to our health. The author provides actual steps to take to take care of ourselves better. Some books just make a blanket statement to start taking better care of ourselves but the author took the time to help with a plan that can be put in place. I have many notes from the book that I will be working on my game plan to get my stressors under control.

Amazing resource for women!!

Thorough, relatable, and so timely! This excellent book covered every resource imaginable for a woman to reduce stress in her life. Everything from connection to nature, the benefits of exercise, boundaries, nutrition and more. The author thoroughly addresses the challenges of modern life for women and provides abundant, realistic tips to live a more peaceful joyful life! The narration was lovely as well!

Great reference to pause and stop...

This is a beautiful topic for all women out there. As women, we are programmed to take on so much in our personal and professional lives to the point of anxiety, depression, and other disorders. We are sacrificing all of our health for everyone else. We need to pause and stop...and take care of ourselves first. This book has many tools that can easily be implemented. I love the interactive element section of the book for it makes us active participants, but my favorite section is "setting boundaries". This is one of the tools I have been managing to do well, and now my life is filled with so much peace, happiness, and love for myself and others. I wish I had listened to this book years ago. Thank you for this book.

Just what I needed!

This book came to rescue me from sinking from to the everyday acute crisis of my life called ‘burn-out’. The cycle never stopped for me that I nearly wanted to give up everything I worked hard for.

This is purely and excellent smartly written book that elaborately explains why and how burnout occurs, where does the stress come from, how to recognize a stress cycle has started, and be able to manage it and even avoid it in the future.

Not to mention, the narration is superb.
If you are suffering stress and feeling overwhelmed, why not take pause and give this a listen.. It’s worth it.

I so appreciate this book!

This book is comprehensive without being overwhelming. And by comprehensive, I don't just mean that the topic is explained well. I mean that there are many different solutions offered for many different people at different stages of their lives. There are thought exercises, body movements, and life planning ideas all included, in addition to more types of solutions. This book has a lot to offer.

Excellent advice for the working woman

Amna does a great job explaining how the different stressors our lives can lead to burnout and provides relevant and accessible suggestions on how to combat that stress and even create a life where stress is managed in order to avoid burnout.

Very true!

Learning to manage stress can be difficult and exhausting which is why I need to learn to cope with these things. One of the best ways to do this is by reading a book like this which is why I listened to this audiobook. The author does a great job of explaining how you can reduce stress as we fall prey to pressure situations and have trouble coping with them. Definitely recommend it to other people who are feeling stressed out and are looking for some great tips!
