Narrator just ok

Narrator just read rather than told the story. Phrasing seemed choppy and missed the message of the wiritings.

Marcus, Aurelius – meditations

The first time I read meditations was in 1997. I found the book to be informative, and educational. I personally feel that every generation from baby boomers to Gen Xers to millennials should read this book. It will provide a better understanding of many things in the world and their reactions to it. It may even help change the way many things are handled.

I loved listening to this classic!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I probably would not have ever sat down to read Marcus Aurelius' Meditations in its entirety. This audio version allowed me to listen to the whole thing, and enjoy it as I did. Aurelius provides great wisdom that transcends generations.

If you could give Marcus Aurelius - Meditations a new subtitle, what would it be?

Everything I ever learned in my long life.

Any additional comments?

Great book! I was sceptical! Yet here we are.

I have listened to the other Meditations books by Marcus Aurelius and I think this is a much better version. Easy to listen to without the unnecessarily fancy language like "thy", etc., yet as hard to understand as the original translation, due to how dense the concepts being discussed are. Grab title and put your synapses to work on the stuff that is of actual value.

Thank you.

P.S. I did not receive a free copy. The purchase was well worth the money.

Hard to follow at times.

The concepts were diffuct to grasp at times. Additionally, it somewhat felt as if though it just ran on.

My go to for nighttime listening.

I have a new habit of listening to this before I go to sleep every night. every time I listen I learn something new. lots of life's truths that self-help gurus can't even figure out today. Especially poignant for men. Thank You for converting to modern vernacular.

Very Insightful

Marcus Aurelius seems to have found the frame work for peace within one’s self. I find his philosophy guiding me to a position of gratitude. Helping me understand principles that directly influence the world presently exist in. Also helping me to not see things as they should be or what I want them to be, but as they are. Definitely going to revisit one this in the future.

You know only control yourself and how you react.

I wonder if he would have wrote this if he was an ordinary peasant. His meditations are written from a position of power. He speaks of harmony, but he was the most powerful person at that time.
