Amazing performance
this book easily draws you in and holds your attention every moment. in a short amount of time you feel like you know these characters. then the end just kind of drops you. it's perhaps meant to allow you to imagine your own ending, but there are too many choices and you are so invested in the characters that you would like to know what actually happens in the story. it's a little disappointing.

Incredible - Spot on Accuracy
This story is so true to life it’s like I was living it. In truth I have lived it, the noises, the conversations, the experiences, the medical necessities. I found myself smiling feeling very validated in this story line. It was so nice to hear a storyline that doesn’t end with a specific ending. How can you? It won’t resonate as deeply if it has a definitive ending. Parents of these very special children hope for one yet often experience the other.
Perfect performance in every way!
Even done the melt down with the Music Therapist followed by a Chaplin. I literally lived that one year ago!

Excellent representation

It's too good to be so short
Maybe it was even intended. Brilliant performance and very truthful story portraying harsh reality of having a child with special needs / disability. Many reviews says they didn't like the ending but I think it is fitting. Unfortunately child's life can stop at any time and it always feels abruptly for the parent.

A very tough situation…
This is an excellent representation of a Special Needs kiddo and his mother. Many couples don’t survive this. Their lives become focused on the child’s illness and their relationship loses momentum. Care of the child daily tends to fall to one parent who then becomes overwhelmed. I love the portrayal of the mom.

it's brutal in it's perfectly honest portrayal of a
I loved the to truth of it. the acting and portrayal of the experience were so compelling. my niece was born with cystic fibrosis and we had some scares that make me relate to this. it's heartbreakingly beautiful.
the ending is super blunt and confusing and I don't understand the author's intent there, but I'm so glad I experienced the story.
