Publisher's summary

I was traded like the Queen of Diamonds in a game of cards, long before I was old enough to spell the word "marriage".

From the day we met, we have hated each other. Intensely. But that’s just Tommy. Everything about him is intense. Demanding. Possessive. He gets whatever he wants because he takes it, while I get whatever he’s giving.

He says I belong to him like it's a factual statement. Always have been his, always will be his. Not while I'm still breathing.

Till death us do part?

If that's the way it has to be, I'm dragging him to hell with me.

Love requires trust

Michelle and Tommy live in Scotland and their dads made an arrangement for them to be married as kids.

I found Michelle to be annoying. Always whining about her future. Tommy tried to give her chances but she just took advantage. Even in the end she kept blaming the both of them when it was really her who never tried to have a real conversation with him. I know their in high school and young and learning about stuff but it was repeated how Michelle just took advantage of her family and Tommy only thinking of herself.

I LOVED Tommy’s character. He was loyal and although not happy with his choices he made the best of them. Felt bad he got got stuck with a selfish person like Michelle.

Paul did a good job as solo narrator and I loved his accent. It got confusing to have him do the female voices since he didn’t really change his tone but he nailed Tommy!

Sultry, sexy, and oh so Scottish

Fun story and great characters. Devlin's swift pacing keeps the tension alive throughout. And phenomenal narration by Mr. Karle! He brings humor, color, and subtle distinction to the characters, while creating a vivid atmosphere in every scene. The narrator's style matches perfectly with the writer's.
