About this listen

USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author Tracy Lorraine brings you a new and addictive dark why-choose, captive romance you don't want to miss.

All my life I’ve been a prisoner.

Locked away by men who think they hold all the power.

First my father.

And now him.

The devil himself.

Reid Harris.

Even my husband can’t save me from the most infamous man in Harrow Creek and his loyal best friend.

I’m tangled up in their twisted games.

One woman.

Three dangerous men.

They expect me to cower.

To beg and plead for mercy.

But Reid’s about to discover that not everyone bends to his will.

Because I don’t care who he is or what he does, I will not break.

Not for any man.

And certainly not for him.

Dear Reader,

Merciless is book one of four in the Harrow Creek Hawks series. It is a dark why-choose romance, meaning our leading lady has several love interests and never has to choose to find her HEA. These three a-hole alphas are certainly no heroes; their morals are questionable at best. If you're looking for a good guy, then you're in the wrong place. Enter at your own discretion.

Dreamy MC men

An amazing full cast narration with some of the best voice actors on this platform. If you love morally grey characters that evolve over time then I highly recommend this book. Just check the TW but if u can handle them then it’s so worth it

My first Dark captive RH romance

Merciless is shocking, captivating and so full of angst, secrets and even though it was my first dark captive romance and I was not eased into the genre I could not stop listening. Alana is a fascinating woman. That cocktail of broken but still standing young woman, determined to survive and get back at every man who ever hurt or abused her. She is complex as are her captors, JD and Reid. Even her self enforced celibate husband who saved her Maverick, they are all morally grey at best, there are no good guys here and Alana knows that. Her attraction to her captors makes Reid’s torture chamber more of a sadomasochist’s pleasure den.
There so many secrets, so many misunderstandings, so many regrets and a gigantic cliffhanger hanger that left me devastated that I have to wait for the next installment. Stella Hunter is absolutely brilliant in her narration, made me cry a few times especially when she thinks of her sister. Aaron Shedlock, Lucas Webley and JF Harding are at their best as the alpha-hole antiheros.

I’m Confused?

I picked this book out purely for the narrators, and I stayed for them. They did an amazing job with the material they were working with. I was confused for most of the beginning of the book and the dialogue felt really cringe to me. The story has potential and the cliffhanger got me, so I honestly don’t know if I will listen to book 2.

What. A. Ride!

Whoa. First off definitely check the triggers on this dark romance. The storyline is wild! I felt dumped into the middle of what was happening but this was also my first Tracy Loraine story and it seems like there is a whole magnificent world she has created so I am not going say the story didn’t make sense when as the reader I am starting a certain place. There is a definitely enough information that you learn about to piece questions together as the story progresses and progress it does! Alana is a warrior and a survivor. The things she has had to endure in this world of wicked corrupt gross men is astonishing. She is seriously a siren as so many men fall for her, the morally grey ones who want to protect her but are also not the greatest of humans. Loved the story! The narration was epic! What a great cast of narrators. I think this has been my favorite Aaron narration and his performance as JD was sweet and funny but also with enough grit that you know his morally grey standing. Lucas is dynamic as always and I loved the gritty whispering like you were in his head as he battled through his feelings. JF is fabulous as always. He plays a baddie and a softie so well. And of course the Queen Stella!! Such an amazing performance as always as she really brings her characters to life with so much emotional range and just performing the story. Bravo to all and I can’t wait for book 2!

This book is dark; heed the author's CWs.

While I don't go too dark very often, the recommendation from a friend was very strong. I figured if it was too dark, I'd just move on. Although this one hits a lot of triggers (check out the author's list), I was engrossed in the story almost immediately.

Alana has been through so many horrible things in her life. Her town is run by the Hawks, an MC, with leaders who are ruthless with a stranglehold on everyone in Harrow Creek. While trying to escape her past, she's rescued by Mav, a childhood friend. Mav protects Alana from all of those trying to do her harm. He shows her that not all men are bad, and as their feelings grow over the years, they get married. They have one glaring issue with their marriage, but Alana never doubts Mav's feelings for her or hers for him.

One day Alana finds herself a captive of Reid (the son of the Hawks' leader) and JD (Reid's best friend). Reid is trying to get information from Alana, but she's not giving it. Until she decides to talk, she's being held in Reid's basement. As is revealed, Reid and JD are definitely attracted to Alana, which poses a problem with Reid's plans. JD isn't as hesitant, even knowing that Alana is married to Mav. As Mav searches for his wife, she's getting very complicated feelings about. her captors. There's a lot going on in Harrow Creek, and this is only the beginning.

This was my first book by Tracy Lorraine. I was hooked from almost the beginning. Yes, the story is quite dark, and I paused a couple times, but it was so compelling, I had to continue. This book ends on a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to see how things unfold in the next book. The narration was so good. Stella Hunter, Aaron Shedlock, and J. F. Harding are favorite narrators of mine. Lucas Webley, who is new to me, did a wonderful job narrating Reid.
