Loved it!

Another phenomenal story of second chance romance by L.B. Dunbar!

Mach and Jane's rocky road to love story drew me in from the very start. I really enjoyed seeing them come together and open up to one another. It was a captivating love story with just the right amount of spice!

I highly recommend it!

Excellent!

Wow! LB Dunbar’s captured my heart again with this boss/employee, marriage of convenience, small town contemporary romance about a couple finding love in their forties! There’s so much I loved…the classic truck was a gem, the town and it’s ppl were delightful, and the chemistry between Jane and Mach was 🔥. Both were relatable characters…and the family dynamic was an excellent backdrop that highlighted their differences and demonstrated how each changed. Loved the epilogue!

Narration by Connor Crais and Emma Wilder was stellar! I was totally lost in Jane and Mach’s story from the beginning. I highly recommend!

Marriage of convenience

I enjoyed this book. Mach has been Jane’s boss for the last 8 years. They have both been attracted to each other but have not acted on their attraction. When Mach has to go back to his hometown for his grandfather’s funeral and will reading, he is told to bring a wife. Jane agrees to go with him as his fake wife, but they find out he needs to actually be married for his inheritance. Mach has given up on love in addition now has to deal with his estranged brother, while Jane has to try not to fall for Mach in this temporary situation. This is a steamy book with where both of them end up reevaluating their life. This also had a great narration.

Fantastic story

This was such a great story and it moved fast. I had absolutely no problem listening to this and I didn't want to stop. The story was good it had good character good chemistry. I loved how he was uncertain of her reaction and she was uncertain of his. It made it feel like it was real like it was real life. The narrators did such a good job. It made me feel like I was in a movie watching it.

Good grief! Female narrator is egregiously WHINY!

So much so it takes away from the enjoyment of the story. It is waaaaay overdone. The male narrator is fantastic.

The story is well worth grinding your teeth through the female narrator’s over-the-top whining.

Pass on this one.

I really didn't like either of the main characters. Jane seemed to whine a lot about past relationship with prior boss, who dumped her after she had a miscarriage to marry someone else. She was his secret girlfriend for years (and this is okay how??) How dumb can someone be at 40yrs old to fall for this?
She has some major health issues but then settles into a new job for years and is again attracted to her boss, though this time she steers clear of him.
He then offers her a deal to be fake wife so he can fulfill teams of his hated grandfather's will.
This has too much drama, angst and sex. Jane whines about her previous but then is okay sleeping with new boss even though she thinks he doesn't love her but is using her (turns out by the end he does). However this could have been so much better. By the HEA I was sick of both of them.
