To everyone at Meridian High School, Michael Vey is an ordinary 14-year-old. In fact, the only thing that seems to set him apart is the fact that he has Tourette's syndrome. But Michael is anything but ordinary. Michael has special powers. Electric powers.
Michael thinks he's unique until he discovers that a cheerleader named Taylor also has special powers. With the help of Michael's friend, Ostin, the three of them set out to discover how Michael and Taylor ended up this way, but their investigation brings them to the attention of a powerful group who wants to control the electric children - and through them, the world. Good story for adults, GREAT for youth
I found Michael Vey: the Prisoner of Cell 25 entertaining, but not a compelling book which I'll recommend to my friends. I would recommend the book for a teenager though. Interesting story while exemplifying great morals.

Great start to a great series!!
What did you love best about Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25?
The whole story line. It was very interesting the amount of different gifts all the kids had.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Austin!!! I loved his enthusiasm, and his random knowledge of EVERYTHING!!
What about Fred Berman’s performance did you like?
His many character voices. I love the way he made Taylor/Tara sound. So preppy and girly ;)

Well developed characters and great plot. Nicely done. The book is obviously the first of a series so it ends with some major conflicts unresolved. A little disappointing that the next book isn't available yet on Audible, but I hope it will be soon.

Great New Series!
