Publisher's summary

From New York Times bestselling author of Archer’s Voice comes a second chance, childhood friends to lovers romance between a famous musician and the only woman he’s ever loved, perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover and Lucy Score.

The moment eleven-year-old Jessica Creswell met Callen Hayes, she knew he was a broken prince. Her prince. They became each other's refuge, a safe and magical place far from their troubled lives. Until the day Callen kissed her—Jessica's first real, dreamy kiss—and then disappeared from her life without a word.

Years later, everyone knows who Callen Hayes is. Famous composer. Infamous bad boy. What no one knows is that Callen's music is now locked deep inside, trapped behind his own inner demons. It's only when he withdraws to France to drink his way through the darkness that Callen stumbles into the one person who makes the music return. Jessica. His Jessie. And she still tastes of fresh, sweet innocence . . . even as she sets his blood on fire.

But they don't belong in each other's worlds anymore. There are too many mistakes. Too many secrets. Too many lies. All they have is that instinctive longing, that needand something that looks dangerously like love.

Great story- didn’t like narrators

This was a great story. I loved the two romantic stories playing out during the two different times. I didn’t like the music playing during the narration and absolutely hated the narrators. Specifically the male lead. He was difficult to listen too. I felt neither voice matched the characters, but the worst part was the French accent. It was very forced and fake. The story it self was fantastic!

Thoughtful, past and present

More Than Words is a story within a story and spans over 600 years. It’s a thoughtful story, past and present. It’s a story that takes longer to read, as you have to feel and reflect on what you’ve read.

Callen and Jessie’s story started as children, and their story continues more than a decade later. It’s fear and anger, guilt and resentment. It’s regret. Regret is an opportunity wasted. And Callen has to discover that on his own.

There is Fate. There is God’s message. There is learning from history. There is praying for help. And there is recognizing what that help is, and grasping onto it for all you’re worth, to the good in life; more importantly, the good in yourself. Find that beauty; that inner peace and light. There is Love.

“...life was more than words. It was laughter and love, faith and joy. And mostly, it was the deep peace that came from living fiercely and without regret.”

This was a re-read for me. I had read the book and wanted to read again in audio. The female narrator was disappointing as she was stiff and did not bring the characters to life, instead sounding as though she was just reading the book to us. I enjoyed the book overall.

Another amazing book by Mia

I’m not sure I’ve found an author that can tell a story like Mia Sheridan. She takes the time to cultivate the characters and bring to life a story that you can’t help but become invested in. More Than Words is just another example of her amazing style and talent... I will always be a huge fan!!

Not the best book out of the 3

I listened to this after the two others in this series which were great. I wanted to like this but the womanizing story line was just too much. The storyline fell short on the reunion of the characters.

Beatiful Multilayered Story

This was a beautifully written story full of lessons to be learned. This has moved to the top of my “loved” list and I expect I’ll listen to it again and again. Mia Sheridan loves to write about a love that is meant to be… has to be and this one was no exception. The story has you rooting for the main characters the whole time. Theee is also a wonderful image to French history I adored. This is really a must read.. or listen
