Publisher's summary

Can you imagine saying to the Beatles, "You'll never make it - four groups are out. Go back to Liverpool"? That's what a Decca Records executive told the Fab Four in 1962. Meanwhile, Senator S.I. Hayakawa allegedly pointed out, "The best cure for insomnia is to get a lot of sleep."

Stupidity experts Ross and Kathryn Petras continue their foray into the world of awkward utterances, slips of the tongue, doubletalk, and just plain dumb statements from politicians, celebrities, sports figures, social leaders - even average joes. You may want to shout with laughter when you listen to this wacky compendium, but remember: "If you can't keep quiet, shut up!" (This warning comes from film director Gregory Ratoff.)

Interesting but too much, too fast

This is an interesting compilation of interesting, funny, and sometimes sad quotations - but they are delivered without enough time to digest each one. If I were reading this on paper, I'd have time to ponder over each item and grasp the depth of the folly of what was being said. However in this format, it is a dizzying challenge trying to keep up. There is truly some fun stuff in here - but be ready to hit the pause button so you have time to laugh or to digest what is being related.
