As a Russian reader

Highly recommend this book as well as the series all-together. Well researched. I did not feel that anything about Russia and its current state was out of line or unsubstantiated. I think that the main character, Gabriel, is well developed and does not fit the stereotype of an assassin, which I find very refreshing.

Good Book

Thank you for changing up the ending. It was a nice surprise. Enjoyed as usual.

Definitely a nail biter.

I’ve been reading the Gabriel Allon books sequentially and this one irritated me at times because of the narrator’s mispronunciation of Russian words. I can understand him having a problem with some of the multisyllabic long names, however, it’s his constant pronunciation of the work “dacha” that felt really irritated me. The word is pronounced exactly as it is written, NOT with a silent “c”. Since the word was used so many times I felt compelled to mention it since it was a significant distraction in listening pleasure.

I've read a dozen or so of the Allon series and liked this one more than most.

Moscow Rules

This is the best book by Daniel Silva in many years. It has a thoughtful insight into the current situation in Russia. It is an excellent political thriller.

Highly entertaining

Mr. Silva has always written exciting fiction. This is especially good. I not only was entertained, I also learned alot about the Russia of today. I verified the information via the New York times internet site, and it was true. Mr. Silva is an excellent researcher. Great Read!

great except narrator should learn some Hebrew

Someone should teach this guy to pronounce Chupah if he is going to read about Israeli spies.

Great story, writing and performance.

The descriptions of locations are vivid and more important accurate. The characters are all so deep. The performance brings it all to life exquisitely. An incredible book and listening adventure.

Enjoyed the Russian

Good change of pace involving Russian characters and locations. Good story and great narration. These are starting to get a little predictable though.

Enjoyable but complex

Found story too long and complicated. Kept having to go back if my attention was distracted even briefly, but still enjoyable.
