About this listen

Jessica Fletcher must diagnose a killer with a taste for bad medicine....

Bestselling author Jessica Fletcher is in Tampa with her good friend, Cabot Cove's own Dr. Seth Hazlitt, who is visiting a renowned Cuban physician. Alvaro Vasquez is developing a potentially groundbreaking cure for Alzheimer's disease. If he's successful, his American backers stand to make millions. But there is a growing fear that the drug may fall into the hands of a powerful pharmaceutical company.

Jessica attends a party at Vasquez's lavish home, but the celebration ends abruptly when guests witness Vasquez seemingly struck by lightning. Jessica and Seth do some digging into the physician's checkered past and learn that his death was no accident. As they work together to find a cure for the common killer, they begin to wonder if they'll ever see Cabot Cove again.

Just Fun

Want to get away from it all and listen (or read) a fun story? Any of the Murder She Wrote books in the series will fit the bill. My personal favorites are those earlier books written by Donald Bain, narrated by Cynthia D. The later books and Sandra B. are still enjoyable. I read a lot of non-fiction, science, and news. Even someone like me can suffer from info overload. Two favorite authors who help me when it all becomes too much are Jessica Fletcher and P.G. Wodehouse. Just fun. (I have a secret desire to be Jessica.. :) )

Good listen.

I loved this Murder She Wrote, Prescription for Murder. The pacing was good, and had some very good twists. I cannot wait to "read" the next Murder She Wrote book.

not bad!

Good story, but not my favorite. It was not as interesting as I thought it would be. It was performed well.

Ugh!

Feels like a try hard, clumsy attempt at bringing the Jessica Fletcher character in the new millennium. There’s usually an uplifting feeling reading her older adventures, despite the plot being a murder mystery. This is a downer through and through and is a miserable fail.
