What a Career

If you know of LFC then you know this man is an absolute legend. Hearing his views of how things happened was really interesting. Many times I felt the emotions right along with the story.

Biased

I’m a huge Liverpool supporter so Stevie G can do no wrong. This is continuing to be a fun journey as I finish it up. It’s so good I own a physical copy along with audio version. If you want a unique perspective from a wonderful stand out human being please spend 13-14 hours of your life learning from a man who can strike the ball more beautifully than any other human being has ever done. 10/10 must recommend 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 (8 thumbs up for his number and Kobe’s. Rest in Power Mamba. And yes Gerrard had that dog that Mamba Mentality. Or as Koop calls it, Mentality Monster!)

Scouser born and bred

If you love Liverpool FC you will love everything about the captain we love. Narration was spot on to Stevie and felt as if he was the one narrating.

The story bounces back between his struggles of Liverpool FC and his struggles with International duty. The main plot of his biography is the amazing 2013-2014 season with Liverpool FC, with flashbacks of his best games in between with the main plot.

I highly recommend this book to any open hearted football fan about one of the greatest footballers of all time

Stevie G is a legend!

As a Man United fan it's hard to admit this but Steven Gerrard is an absolute legend.
Liverpool were fortunate to keep a hold of him for so long but that probably says more about the man himself. Loyal to a fault, passionate and what a player!
Great autobiography and the narration in the scouse accent makes this a must listen!

Great insights into one of the most gifted footballers England and Europe has ever seen.

I loved this book. The reader has a Liverpool accent which makes for a great experience. It's as though you are actually listening to Stevie G at times. I'm an Arsenal supporter but this book is great for anyone who interested in learning about the history of Liverpool and understand the special relationship that city has with our beautiful game of football.

Ohhhh, ya beautyyy!!

Wow. Just finished this audiobook and I am nearly at a loss for words. Been a Liverpool supporter for over a dozen years, and this book taps directly into all the emotions over that period of time. The elations of Istanbul to the slip against Chelsea. Stevie truly has an incredible story to match his incredible career. This is a MUST for any Liverpool fan and any soccer/football fan for that matter.

As for the narration, it's well done. He nearly sounds like Gerrard is reading the book himself! There were a few patches where the cadence of each sentence was too similar and you can drift, but it's a small gripe for an overall great performance.

A look inside the mind of this Liverpool legend

I grew up in being a football fan. I watched as much football as I could, but I moved to the States I missed out on European football for 10 plus years. I missed Gerard, Zlatan and Messi's rise to the top of European football.
for me it is like catching up with Liverpool and Gerard in those 20 years.
I appreciate that the narrator is scouser! it was a nice touch and for first few minutes I thought it was Stevey G himself! :)
the narrator sounded emotional in some sections and I kept forgetting he is not Gerard!
