an amazing book

this is by far the best book i have read. this series is absolutely amazing

A nice ending to the series

And not at all expected. Over the past two summers I have worked my way through this series, and each one was something new, leading us here.

The Reader, Kirby, was fantastic, and I hope to hear more from him in the future!

A fitting End for John

This is a tightly told tale. Its shorter and well told. I don't think there was any other way for this to End. As the book says it comes full circle. I don't wan to put any spoilers. Its not what you would expect and that makes it perfect.

Good ending to a good series

What a great way to end this journey! I loved the series and this was a great way to end it!

This was honestly my favorite in the series since the original three. It had the same feel that drew me to the series initially.

New favorite book series

While I understand why some people are upset about the way this story changes to a slightly different theme in chapter 2(I think) of the first book, this is now one of my favorite series. This story is about John’s path through life contrasted against monsters of a different type. It’s full of emotion and the lack of it. Every book is full of a bit of mystery, fun, sorrow, love, hate, life and death. I recommend reading this series in it’s entirety. I started reading Dexter wanting a bit of the anti-hero vibe of a man that is a monster but wants to be good and I actually started listening to both book series around the same time. I love Dexter but his book series frustrated me while this one had me excited to go to work, walk my dog, and any other excuse to have headphones in. I will listen to this again. I’m not sure who Kirby Heyborne is but I loved his narration and have no complaints whatsoever. He sounded right, I’m really happy he was chosen/chose to narrate this story as I can’t think of anything I would change given the chance. I’m going to look at other Dan Wells books to see if there are more hidden gems. 10/10 it made me smile a lot.

oh the feels!!!

This series is SO GOOD! I'm so sad it's over but it is such a great read! I HIGHLY recommend it if you are into true crime, sociopathaths, and demons.

In 2019 I had the great pleasure of meeting Dan Wells (Thanks Jenn Johnson!) at ComicCom in SLC and he signed the first book "I'm Not A Serial Killer". He also apologized for what happens to the character whose name is spelled exactly like me.

I wish I could contact him and tell him I absolutely LOVE the character and everything she did, so no worries. 😊

I am excited to read his other books now.

i know I've said this before, but Kirby Heyborne is THE GREATEST narrator ever.

Ending was a little disappointing but if he continues ever then that would be awesome. still my most favourite series

this was an incredible series and an absolute pleasure to read. entertaining, surprising, humorous, and dark. everything a growing girl needs.
