Brilliant
I liked everything about this audiobook, with the exception that it’s abridged. Sedaris is terrifically talented, and the narration of his own material makes the work twice as great. The addition of his sister, Amy, voicing numerous characters is an added delight. I just can’t figure out why the publisher would choose not to release a full audio version of this work.

Sedaris has a very distinct voice. I have always enjoyed his storytelling!!
I love the way Sedaris brings his family to life! He captures the humor as well as the sadness of individuals.The portrait of his mother is somehow terrifying and funny, yet also poignant. Only a gifted writer is capable of doing that!

love it!
I keep going back and listening to parts of this book, and never fail to laugh! I enjoy his narration and his storytelling just can't be beat. Sometimes I just couldn't believe he would say/do such a thing, but it is a fun kind of astonishment. While he never seems to run out of material from his family and his relationship, I like that he's going out creating new adventures to share with his loyal readers.
