Imoressive
El libro pasó mucho tiempo revisando a los gobernantes del Imperio Romano antes de que Calígula fuera nombrado Emperador. Sin embargo, estaban conectados al explicar cómo Calígula había llegado al poder. Su depravación que fue explotada en un par de películas que he visto sobre él solo recibió una breve mención ya que no se pudo corroborar con certeza.

Lo disfrute
Algunos de los fragmentos más fascinantes de la historia mundial residen en la historia romana. Aunque gran parte de la historia romana parece una telenovela, debe tenerse en cuenta que Calígula estaba sin duda en la parte superior de la lista de líderes locos certificables. Si bien se especula ampliamente sobre las raíces de su locura, una cosa es segura, Calígula fue un hombre amoral que llevó a su imperio por un camino oscuro, hasta el punto de que Roma podría recuperarse o apenas podría recuperarse para convertirse en la República que alguna vez fue. Así va el líder, así va la nación a sus pies.

Muy informativo
Es muy apropiado que Hourly History haya publicado dos libros esta semana sobre emperadores romanos. Se complementan entre sí. Marco Aurelio, emperador de 161-180 d.C., fue considerado el último de los "buenos emperadores" de Roma, y después de él, hubo emperadores crueles y Roma comenzó un lento declive. Calígula, nacido en el año 12 d.C. y emperador antes que él durante tres años y diez meses (37-41) vivió en la infamia.
