I really love all of these books
they are just great. If you want a good book this IS the place to go!

Intelligent and Lusty

If you don't like somewhat graphic sex in your romance novels you won't like Maya Banks. This story is well-told. Kirsten Potter brought it alive and made the heroine believable and likable. Well, I am a sucker for the accent! This story interestingly seemed to be more realistic in terms of the lengths to which men will go to attain power; maybe not just men. But this story is about clan politics and character, or the lack thereof. I recommend it with the aforementioned caveat.

What a series!

Not only has this author become one of my favorites, this series ranks in my top 5 favorites and I'm ready to go back and listen again already. These books had everything - adventure, marvelous characters, intrigue, humor and, of course, steamy scenes (whew!). The narration was nothing short of spectacular! I actually forgot while listening that it was a woman speaking she gave such an amazing performance. I highly recommend this author and series!

Warrior Princess mets Highland McCabe

Ms Banks is one of the few writers who can tell a tale in 3 books and make them all very good. Ewen # 1 is a strong hero & begins the tale. Aleric #2 book, you will need a tissue and Calen #3 is headstrong but the ending is so endearing. This is the first trio that really is worth buying. Voice of Kristen Potter makes all 3 books just plain wonderful to listen and get the full experience. I listen to the 3 books straight through and you can not say that about many triology!

Love this series

Would you consider the audio edition of Never Love a Highlander to be better than the print version?

I have never read this in print but I thought the audio version was excellent.

Have you listened to any of Kirsten Potter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to this whole series narrated by her and I think she does a great job. Her accents are very well done.

Any additional comments?

This was not my favorite book in the series but I enjoyed very much anyway. Caelen was frustrating at first and I thought he was going to be a hopeless hero but managed to redeem himself in the end. Rionna was great but I got upset when Caelen was initially trying to change and control her thankfully she didn't listen to him :)

Loved the story. The narrator not so much

I have read this book myself and loved the story and the series. I did not care for this narrators accent. Most of the time it felt like the story should have taken place in Russia. She has a pleasant voice and I think with the right story I would enjoy her reading very much.

Fantastic!

This one touched my heart. A warrior woman that risked it all and fought for her husbands life. Go greater love than this. The Narriator was fantastic!

Best BOOK OF THE BROTHERS. BEST HEROINE

I DONT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN. THIS IS EVERYTHING I WANTED. I KNEW FROM THE BEGINNING THAT THE YOUNGEST BROTHER WAS GOING TO BE MY FAVORITE AND ON MY HEART IT WAS TRUE. From the women, KYLIE WAS MEH, THE FIRST ONE (marie?) WAS OK. BUT RIONNA WAS THE BEST OF ALL. SHE IS THE TRUE DEFINITION OF A STRONG FEMALE PROTAGONIST. YET STILL HOLD THE DEFINITION OF A WOMAN.

IF YOU CAME UP WITH THIS BOOK FIRST I SUGGEST READING THE OTHER 2 FIRST. They're still good dont get me wrong but the history of the other characters are there.

dammit the real feels I got on the latest chapters dammit dammit. its 2021 covid is still around and I'm so damn happy I got to listen to this. I want to give kristen potter 100 points as always I look forward for more from this author too!!!!!


edit: I re listened to this book again not the whole series. it is still my favorite, best brother and best female protagonist. I love how the heroine is not strong but also true on her feelings. she is not annoying, she is determined on her feelings as a woman and as a wife, her possessiveness towards the hero is so refreshing, she wont back down until she hears what she wants to hear. the hero is not a wuss, just the grumpy style but you need to read the other 2 books to understand, this book gives more story about him as well. his acceptance and his love for rionna made me smile so big while I listened. he is strong and also determined, he is not mean to the heroine nor abusive. 10/10 need more pinning woman that doesn't back down and also heals the hero's soul.

Great Series

Great series! Awesome storylines, and hot/steamy love scenes!!! I loved these books. Even the last one where the love scenes die down but true storyline and action is still there... But I was glad to go back and enjoy the full talent that is usually a Maya Banks story! Also, great narration!!!!!!
