I like the couples with a dark past, when they're damaged, when life keeps them apart, and when they do meet again they're so different but they just know their love never diminished. ❤❤❤ Omg I love this tragic couple! They are 🔥🌋🎆 when they come together! The back and forth between past and present reveals more about them and their individual pasts.
Once again, Fuschia is the best! I love her self indulgent wit and patronizing sarcasm. I'd hate her irl too, but reading her is funny to me.

Love Leo

Marked as a monster and cursed to live in the shadows it was wonderful to see Leo come back into the light and clear his name. He is a great and troubled character that we’ve seen throughout this series and it was nice to get his backstory and history with Clarissa.

Nine

Nine is the superhuman, alpha who is damaged emotionally and physically and only one woman who could tame his beast but tragedy interfered separating them for eight years only to be brought back together when Clarissas sister goes missing, and all of those old feelings come back to the surface but surprises are realized and the attraction and love they had never stopped either, but can Rissa see beyond Leo's scarred and battered body resulting from the tragic night all those years ago? Now that enemy is back wanting to wreak havoc once again. Their love desire and passion never waned if anything it burned brighter. Their hard fought journey and Leo's dream of a family is when they all get their long awaited HEA.

Push through some of the rediculous parts

If they are supposed to be so smart why did they do so many dumb things. Some of the characters actions in this story were a little unintelligent which didn’t fit with how their characteristics were portrayed. I found my self putting down the book so I didn’t have to listen to their “stupid” decisions.

I really didn’t like Carissa. All she ever cared about was herself. She left town with 9’s baby and never looked back. He spent years in prison and has been, on the run, for 8 years. All, of which could have been avoided if she would have testified about what really happened the day her father was killed.(URGGGG, don’t get me started.) She also avoids learning the truth because she, “just doesn’t want to know” when knowing would help her sister be freed from captivity. I just wanted to scream, “ Put you big girl panties on and get over yourself!”

Other then that, the book is Hot, although a slow burn, many secrets were revealed, you got the chance to revisit favorite characters and the bad guys got what was coming to them. What else could a romance lover want?

What can I say about this fantastic book & hearing more how Leo's younger life was & why he went out of the kids of Heart's Edge when he was called 'Tiger'
Hearing what happened to him when he was a young kid reminded me with similarities to another series that I've read where scientist want to experiment on them & make them their 'weapon'
There is so much going on especially when he sees his old love Lorissa 'Rissa' comes back to Heart's Edge to try & see what's happened to her younger sister Deanna who went back to open up another shop.
There is so much going on there & I found going back in their past was a great & beautiful eye opener

I really enjoyed reading this book. I look forward to reading more books by this author in the near future.
