A good tale and action!

This is a good story with Eric who is s really easy going character and just happen to plan for the end of the world with his new buddy Gabe. It is a all out interesting story as Eric interacts with people better in a Zombie Apocalypse than before in a normal world. You will not be disappointed in this story.

Pretty good zombie book.
Any additional comments?
I've listened to most of the popular zombie books in the past year and its been hard finding good ones now. This one I never heard of in anyone's list of favorites but it was one of the better ones I've listened to in a while. I'm going to get the second one now.

Loved It
James Cook hit a home run with this one. The story is about the characters not the Zombies. The two main characters are well developed and totally enjoyable. I thought Guy William's voice was not the right one for the book but I was way wrong. Guys voice perfectly portrays Eric's smart ass attitude.

Good nuff said
Well apparently that was not enough.
The story is solid, the characters are believable (mostly), and you care about them (mostly). I would recommend this to others. This book deals more with the story of the main characters and less describing the dead over and over and over like some other authors in this genre.
Is it Dostoyevsky, or Tolstoy? No, but it's a zombie book what are you expecting.

Tied for best Zombie Series
Would you consider the audio edition of No Easy Hope to be better than the print version?

What did you like best about this story?
I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that I read / listen to many of these types of series. Before this, by far my favorite was Day by Day Armageddon. I think it still may be but I think this one may tie it given this first book. It was great. The reader was excellent - not to slow, not too fast. The story was excellent - as if I was the main character (maybe that's why I liked it). Regardless...I'm moving on to the second book now. So many other series have been disappointments compared to Day by Day so I am thrilled that I have found one that competes.

Love the story, the performance not so much
What made the experience of listening to No Easy Hope the most enjoyable?
The story is great, if I were reading the book I would not be able to put it down.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
The narrator is very clincal. Some times I felt like I was listening to a text book.

I enjoyed the story so much that I was able to get past the narration. I recommend the

Very good story
Love the Story a lot. Noticed some inaccuracies about some of the weapons lingo, but over all nothing to glaring. I almost cried when Eric was saying goodbye to the people of the compound. I sure do hope Ethan, his wife and baby make it. Can't wait to listen to book 2.
