THE INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

“I like to think of Not All Diamonds and Rosé as the ultimate reunion. I know readers will be surprised, entertained, and even shocked at what’s in store." —Andy Cohen

Dave Quinn's Not All Diamonds and Rosé is the definitive oral history of the hit television franchise, from its unlikely start in the gated communities of Orange County to the pop culture behemoth it has become—spanning nine cities, hundreds of cast members, and millions of fans.

What is it really like to be a housewife? We all want to know, but only the women we love to watch and the people who make the show have the whole story. Well, listen in close, because they’re about to tell all.

Nearly all the wives, producers, and network executives, as well as Andy Cohen himself, are on the record, unfiltered and unvarnished about what it really takes to have a tagline. This is your VIP pass to the lives behind the glam squads, testimonials, and tabloid feuds.

Life’s not all diamonds and rosé, but the truth is so much better, isn’t it?

“This exhaustive oral history features dishy interviews with 185 cast and crew members behind the Bravo phenomenon. Fans will delight to read about how it all got started.”

Critic reviews

“[Not All Diamonds and Rosé] spills the tea (or the rosé, if you prefer) on the reality empire with extensive reporting from the series' casts, producers, executives, and more.” (Entertainment Weekly)

“As sweeping as it is scandalous.... Fans will drink this up as quickly as the Housewives would a glass of champagne.” (Publishers Weekly)

“This exhaustive oral history features dishy interviews with 185 cast and crew members behind the Bravo phenomenon. Fans will delight to read about how it all got started, which fired housewives are angriest with Andy Cohen - and a shocking, never-before-revealed incident that happened when the New Jersey cast went to Punta Cana. No wonder the book sold out after it was first released.” (New York Post)

Win for any Housewives fan!

Really entertaining story but I couldn’t stop laughing at the voices. I get she was trying to mirror the voice of the Housewife but it came out comical at some point. Her normal voice is amazing though.

As a "Real Housewives" junkie, Highly recommend!

Let's be honest, the "Real Housewives" franchise is pure, addictive trash TV gold!!!! What makes this book so enticing is that it's not just surface-level gossip. According to the description, Quinn digs deep, interviewing wives, husbands, producers, and network execs to reveal the mechanics behind the manufactured chaos we see onscreen, which I found very interesting. Of course, with reality TV, "reality" is a relative term. While it's exciting to peek behind the curtain, this book will surely also highlight the blurred lines between calculated entertainment and the real, messy lives of the participants. Basically I find that most reality television is scripted these days, but it is still campy fun. The only off putting part if you listen on Audible, is the constant switch between the narrator's. It can become kind of annoying in audio format. Otherwise, this is a great little read for any day!!!

Fun book

This was a fun listen but the narration is so bad. The impressions are so awful!!! It would have been so much better if it was read without trying to be cute.

Incredible Voices

The impersonations are incredible. That one person can do all these voices and create so many characters with her voice is astounding and a huge feat. I totally disagree with other reviews that it’s annoying or makes it hard to listen to. It’s an artistic triumph!

Enjoyed!

As a big housewives fan I was excited to listen to this book. Overall I did enjoy it and found it to be a good listen. I liked the way the book flowed and learned some new things. However, some of the impressions by Amy were way too much (I absolutely hated her impression of Sonja). Her impressions made it hard for me to listen at times and I had to stop for breaks. When she was using her normal voice I thought she did a great job.
