About this listen

The number one best-selling series that Audible listeners call “wonderfully entertaining”, “packed with humor, geek references and thought-provoking storylines”, and performed by “a true master story teller and actor” returns as the Bobs face their deadliest challenge yet.

The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all.

But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy. Sure, it could settle the Fermi Paradox for good (and what Bob doesn’t want to solve a mystery of the universe?). But it also reveals a threat to the galaxy greater than anything the Bobs could have imagined.

Just another average day in the Bobiverse.

That you can immediately hit play and re-enter a beloved new world, or love story, or era from history is a gift to the devoted listener. But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. Fun Continuation

*Slight spoiler* I have loved Bob and Ray Porter since I found the Bobiverse six years ago. I was thrilled at Teresa's induction to the Moot; I'd enjoyed meeting her in Heaven's River very much. More Skippy shenanigans, AIs, and dragon relations, oh my! An incredible galactic mystery is presented and sets up an intriguing puzzle for the Bobs to work through in the next installment.

Seriously, if you're already familiar with Bob, this is a satisfying (though not satiating) addition to the Bobiverse; if you aren't, and I'm not sure why you wouldn't be, but get on it! I'm looking forward to book 6 and dread the long wait.

Flying Dragon Relations!

Same old Bob, story continues, great surprises and stories. Fun twists and resolves some questions while leaving more fun questions for the next book!

More of the same bobiverse that you love.

Continues the story. I love the concepts explored in this universe and the way the Bobs think.

Feels like the editor pushed

As with all if the books in the series, this is fun story. That being said, it felt like the book was way shorter than it should have been, or some of the stories should have been cut entirely so others could be fully told.
Both the dragon story and the galaxyic federation story could have been a lot more interesting if more focus was put on either.
It feels like the dragon planet was intended to be the main sub story while building out a thread for 2 more books with the galactic federation story, but almost nothing about the dragon story was compelling. Worth listening to, but the book is essentially just 3 short stories combined together.

I can’t get enough

Another excellent book in the Bobiverse. As usual, Ray Porter brings the series to life. Now I’m waiting for the next episode.

Consistently fantastic

I was very curious where the story would lead. I wasn't disappointed, it kept me engaged. I hope to see the series continue. I do hope that if it does, Ray Porter stays available to narrate.

Great new entry to the series.

I really love the central concept of the series, the characters and the world. One of my favorite authors.

Absolutely brilliant!

As with all the books in this series, the story and sci-fi aspects were blended together perfectly! I don’t know how the author manages it, but he keeps the reader enthralled and start to finish!
