About this listen

From New York Times best-selling author and pastor Timothy Keller, a book about facing the death of loved ones, as well as our own inevitable death

Significant events such as birth, marriage, and death are milestones in our lives in which we experience our greatest happiness and our deepest grief. And so it is profoundly important to understand how to approach and experience these occasions with grace, endurance, and joy.

In a culture that does its best to deny death, Timothy Keller - theologian and best-selling author - teaches us about facing death with the resources of faith from the Bible. With wisdom and compassion, Keller finds in the Bible an alternative to both despair or denial.

A short, powerful book, On Death gives us the tools to understand the meaning of death within God's vision of life.

Succinct and Powerful

This book is packed with truth and no “fluff”. I appreciate that it is short and to the point. It’s as if Tim Keller and I are close friends and he just sat me down and shared his heart on this matter. The narration is done with excellence in a way that makes the most of every point. I am tempted to listen to it again just to really be able to soak all of the truth in! This is so well done all the way around.

Hospice Nurse

I’m going to buy a few of these books to keep with me to give to my Christian patients. It’s short and easy to understand. It’s hopeful without sugar-coating death. Thank you, Timothy Keller.

"There shall be no more death"

Rev. Keller has produced a short but powerful message concerning death. He covers it all and with the grace that he has shown in all his previous works. What he provides here is more than hope. It is a knowledge and belief that is comforting. I appreciated his words on grief and expressing it. All in all it is one of his best.
Sean Pratt was made to read Rev. Keller's books. He performed flawlessly and is very easy to listen to, they make a great team.
