Great Buy !! Great Book!!

If you want to learn options in plain language this is the book. The author breaks down terms and understanding at a great pace all in understandable language. Great Book !! I wish I found the book sooner.

Honest, straightforward, easy to understand, simple to implement

If you want to understand options and learn how to trade options successfully, this is the best book I have ever found. It is easy to understand without complicated, confusing jargon often used in the industry. Trader Travis uses examples that help make concepts clear. Then teaches strategies to help you become a successful options trader. There are no frills in this book. It is very straightforward, which is the best part about the book; it’s simplicity. There are no unnecessary, over complicated explanations like you may find in many other books that “claim to teach you options trading.” If you have ever attempted to understand options before, and then read this book, you will understand the difference. The same applies to paying for options trading courses that “claim they will teach you how to trade options”, yet make things seem so complex, it becomes frustrating, confusing, and seemingly impossible. They then upsell you with the promise, the additional courses are “necessary” to increase your understanding and improve your outcomes. I will add to this category the proprietary subscription-based services that “teach you how to trade options.” I have paid and joined many, many programs/services like this, and spent thousands upon thousands of dollars with hope that ended in being false hope. More accurately, LIES. I am not a skeptic by nature, but these experiences jaded me to the point where I am immediately leery of “trading gurus and their claims.” However, Trader Travis, his books, and the resources he provides have been a complete game changer for me. Yes, I have learned and now make money, despite losses along with wins, even in a bear market. Equally important, I operate with a plan.

I was first introduced to Trader Travis through his YouTube channel and watching his videos for years due to my skeptical, nature regarding the subject. But, his explanations of options made sense. He was transparent and straightforward about wins and losses, pros and cons, advantages and disadvantages of options trading. Upon further research, I found his first book that was published in 2015. It set the foundation for understanding options and made concepts crystal clear. This book goes several steps deeper because he provides not only the foundations to understand options, thoroughly, but also strategies to implement to become a successful and profitable.

I’ve mentioned the simplicity of this book and the options, concepts and strategies that are taught. Don’t misunderstand simplicity to mean easy. It is not. It is also not complex. Following his strategies you learn many things. Simple is paramount. Discipline is key. Having a plan is absolute. Practice is imperative. Implementing worthwhile. Follow through profitable. But, you have to put in the work. However, the tools and resources are laid out, in plain English, to help anyone who wants to become a successful, profitable options trader.

The last thing I will say is, if you are a skeptic, I encourage you to read, then test it out for yourself. I mean actually do it. Put in the work and see it for yourself. Every chapter is worth it’s weight in gold. Particularly, reread chapter 5, how to tell if a guru is full of crap, then do what it says. Lol! I laugh, because, if I had found this resource when I first began learning to trade options, I would’ve saved myself a great deal of headache, heartache, and money.

Trader Travis' Rules Based Approach to Options

In my travels to develop my skills as an options trader, I have been following TastyTrade over the last two years and was slowly trading small to protect my account while learning. Even Though I like their content, I still couldn’t see how traders following the TT method could grow their accounts consistently. But I found Trader Travis’s book, bought it, read it and listened, tested his examples (trust but verify) and started using his rules to paper trade and found his approach clear and straightforward. I find Travis’s approach to trading very focused and easy to apply. His rules based approach allows for very relaxed trading with clear points of entry and exit. Travis speaks directly about getting the junk out of your head and he is very clear that you should paper trade this approach first to see if it works then apply real money to trade. I purchased the ebook first then I ordered the hard copy as well to support his work and I find Travis open and honest about his approach to trading, describing his good and bad trades. Give his book/ebook/Audible track a good read/listen and test what he offers, I trust you could find success with his approach. I also want to point out his YouTube channel as well for additional great content.

Breaking it down and keeping it exciting

Great audiobook for those that want to make money with options. Listening to the audio book after reading the paperback version helped me to hone in on the strategies taught in the book. The strategies read aloud by the narrator keep the listener engaged with the examples and entertaining stories spread throughout the book. Some sections are very number heavy, so if you normally listen at 1.5X or 2.0X, you may want to slow down through these sections to let the numbers sink in while the remaining parts of the examples are read aloud. I have implemented similar versions of the strategies taught in the past 2-3 years, as I have been a subscriber to some of Travis's paid training. I consider Travis as my options trading coach, and have been pleased with his successful strategies that he is generous enough to share with people like us. Learning from Travis's mistakes that he details in this audio book helps me to not make the same mistakes, aka risking too much % of my portfolio on call options. The 80/20 rule (or similar 2/10 rule) is a great teaching moment for me, and has been a game changer to my portfolio since I have been learning from Travis and trading options over the past few years.

Excellent teaching book

Travis has a very unique way of simplifying things and allowing readers and listeners to understand stock option trading.
This is by far well worth having in your trading arsenal. Travis teaches you to focus on risk first and profits second. The reader did a good job of clearly communicating the information that Travis put together in the book.
All in all this is a must have!

Learn options basics - used in every trade.

If you want to be successful with options and not ride an emotional roller coaster, then this is your book! Travis communicates clearly and sets expectations in reality. He addresses mindset while providing a system to trading. This book is so solid I bought two extra books for family members.

I found Trader Travis on YouTube and have been so grateful. He always over delivers and has a huge heart! He is completely honest (sometimes painfully so but that is how I knew I was not being scammed). His guidelines for entry & exit are golden. I am learning to trust the system which is helping me step back and rest while the market goes where it chooses - and I make money whatever direction it goes.

Incredible lessons to master investing with options for financial independence.

I read the kindle version and it was incredibly valuable, educational and a joy to read. (see below). Listening to the audible version greatly helped to solidify the lessons and information from the reading.
Long ago I realized the potential for trading options. For over 15 years I had been trying to use them without much success to build wealth until I came across Travis. Trading and investing is 10% technique and 90% dealing with your mental state.
Travis teaches both these skills with incredible clarity, humor and compassion sharing his life's ups and downs in a way that is most inspiring and effective. He shares an incredible set of blueprints step by step to master the art and science of investing using the power of options.
He became successful after many setbacks and shares this as a way to give back and help others.
I wholeheartedly recommend reading his book and testing it to see and experience it for yourself.

Humble words from a humble man!

Been following Travis for about 10 years now and from the moment that I learned about him and his way of thinking, I was all in! My uncle was wealthy and knew there had to be a way to make money in the stocks even though we didn’t understand the lingo but then we found trader Travis and that’s where it all changed! This book is a great foundation for everything he teaches!

Trader Travis has over delivered again. I will try to keep the review short. I can’t say enough nice things about this author. I stumbled upon his very humble website 6 or 7 year ago. I could not believe how much free GOOD information he was giving away. I was very lost about investing. I was from the school of buy and hold. I’ve lost most of my 401K and Taxable accounts due to corrections and fees from advisors. I am self employed, so I literally have to take care of retirement on my own. After 10 yrs of advisory services etc, I final had enough and was ready to get out on my own, by the grace of god, I found Tradertravis.com. From the first page of this book to last. This guy has not changed one bit in his delivery of the material. Very simple yet powerful. You will have to read this book more than once. It’s a quick read but you can easily miss out on the golden nuggets. WHY would I buy this book when I have been following this guy for years? The answer is very simple. He is very consistent in his method and delivery. What I learned from him years back still applies to today’s market. He is upfront about gains and embarrassing losses. He easily explains the set up and exit to trades. I bought this book because it is an awesome reference to ALL that I have learned from him. It’s a physical constant reminder of what difference he as made in my life. I would recommend this book to ANYONE that is ready to take action and control of their investments. The lessons are so very simple but don’t think that you will have everything mastered over night. Buy this book, follow the examples, study everything he has offered. I am a living example that this book is literally how I got be a better investor / Person, just based on the principals and lessons in THIS book. I am not a rags to riches story but I am one of many that seek financial freedom and Travis has help me tremendously on this journey.
