Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

amazing stories

the only unfortunate part of this audiobook is that whomever was in charge of its creation had no prior knowledge of the stories and didn't bother to learn the most basic piece if information. the consistent mispronunciation of Elena's name constantly took me out of the story. the writing itself was incredible, as always.

What happened to the first 2 stories?

The story of Cassandra was lacking. Then,
Honeymoon was disappointing. How could anyone involved in the production of this series allow the narrator pronounce Elaina's name wrong? Not sure what happened with The first 2 stories of this audio book but they are not as good as the rest. It answers questions you might have and is somewhat worth it.

Luckily, the rest of the stories are well done & narrated. Overall, it is worth the time.

Narrator

Liked that there is women and men, but I hate that they pronounce names two different ways.

great anthology

great follow ups and prequels. only thing I didn't like which other people mentioned it the pronunciation of Elena. I always read it as E-lane-a. but they pronounce it like Hellena without the H.

Elaina not Ellena

All of the otherworld books Elaina was pronounced one way. In this book it was Ellena which made it very difficult, especially since I've listened to them all multiple times.

Get the name right!

I've read all the books and listened to all the books and it is highly aggravating to have this book change the pronunciation of Elena. It is Uh-Lane-uh NOT Ellen-uh! Other than that, great

Great Book!

I love these novellas from the otherworld. The narrators really could have used a pronunciation guide for names before recording. I have noticed this a few other times in other Audiobooks from this company. In the original 13 novels Elena’s name is pronounced “E-lane-ah”
and in this book was pronounced “Ellen-ah” might seem like a small thing but it makes a difference when listening and not seeing the name on the paper. Overall great book!

Loved story, hated voices!

I really loved the stories. It helped to bring clarity to many of the Otherworld story lines. Unfortunately, as others how pointed out, the readers mispronounced a key character's name. This was extremely distracting. I would still say if you're a Otherworld fan, buy it!!!

Narrators Pronunciation!

The stories were great. Dome better than others. Loved the story of Reese, what a great background story. BUT, as this has been mentioned over and over again... they killed me with the pronunciation of the MAIN character's name, it drove me insane! That was the only flaw, otherwise great stories. If you love the series definitely recommend listening to them.
