Publisher's summary

Billy Beckett has reached more than a half million listeners.

Harley "Ace" Winters is a professional golfer who has fallen on hard times. He hasn’t won a tournament in years, and a formerly trivial hobby has turned into a dangerous addiction that threatens to bring him to ruin.

Eddie Pickett is a musician on a meteoric rise. But demons from his past hound his footsteps and jeopardize his future.

In the fifth installment of the best-selling Billy Beckett series, Billy has a dark cloud hanging over his head as his father’s dreaded illness has taken a turn for the worse. Despairing but undaunted, the agent’s tenacious nature rears its head. There’s a reason he has garnered a reputation as an agent who is willing to take chances. Sometimes those chances pay off, and sometimes they explode in spectacular fashion.

Though he knows risk is involved, he decides to take on both Ace Winters and Eddie Pickett as clients. As Billy learns more about his new charges, it becomes clear that each man has mysterious secrets that could turn deadly. Billy and his inner circle quickly find themselves tangled in two dangerous webs. Can Billy and his team steer their clients through treacherous waters? Or will the revelations prove a deadly maelstrom capable of leaving death and destruction in its wake?

From the lush greens of Hilton Head to the stark beauty of Red Rocks, Out of Bounds is a riveting novel filled with twists and suspense that will leave you gasping for air.

Narrator ruined already slow story

I loved Billy when he was first introduced, but he’s becoming harder and harder to stay interested in with all the long and rambling unnecessary character interactions. The narrator’s southern accent was completely distracting and absolutely awful. He turned Billy‘s father into a caricature of the formerly dignified man. I couldn’t finish it.

Billy Becket

I really enjoy Billy. He picks up some unusual clients and it’s fun to see how he helps them along the way. Great series.

Excellent Billy Beckett mystery

I truly enjoyed this audible book. It was an excellent listen. The narration was well done even though it was done by a new narrator to this series. The characters were complex & interesting. I hope the author, Kelly Hodge will continue to write more books in this series.

Decent Story, Repetitive Theme

I like the Characters, but the story was repetitive and kinda lack luster. Narrator was not so great with the Southern accents.

Count Dracula

I have enjoyed the Billy Beckett series up until this book. why a successful series would suddenly switch narrators is beyond me but the narration of this book just plain sucks. I'm not sure if it's Count Chocula or "Vlad" Dracula from the cartoon series Transylvania but either way, they both suck for this book. while I under the the Russian mob part of the book it is horrible how the narration ruined the listening pleasure of this book. if there are going to be any more books to the series, go back to the original narrator.

They change the narrator

In traversing the entirety of the five-book series, I found each installment to be a compelling narrative. However, my engagement took an unexpected turn in the latest book due to a shift in narrators. Regrettably, this alteration lessened my overall enjoyment, as the new voice seemed to alter the tone and connection I had developed with the story and characters throughout the series. Despite this, the series as a whole remains commendable, and my preference for the earlier narrator highlights the impact a consistent voice can have on the reader's experience.
