Immensely valuable and accessible- loved it.

The framing of these issues balances positivity and realism. The writing is clear, engaging and well-organized-- I learned a lot and it all made sense. There are clear, actionable steps, and even reflection activities that give a step-by-step process for defining and reaching personal goals, but it's flexible enough to mix-and-match based on what is most applicable at a particular time. I'm sure the paperback version is awesome to have the activities already printed, but an additional plug for this audio version-- this author is somehow passionate and calming. I feel reassured and empowered as I listen. You will be glad you spent the money and time on this one-- I think back often to concrete strategies and ideas I learned here.

Insightful and Actionable — A Must-Listen

"Overcoming Imposter Syndrome at Work" by ‘Tine Zekis is an insightful and actionable audiobook that delivers exactly what it promises. Having previously heard Zekis speak on imposter syndrome and imposter systems, I was eager to dive deeper into her perspectives—and this book did not disappoint. Her approach is holistic, offering strategies that address both workplace challenges and personal growth, while also highlighting their real-world impact.

One of the standout sections for me was Chapter 3: Own Your Success—it was immediately motivating and gave me the push I needed to finally start keeping an accomplishments log consistently. I appreciated the range of practical suggestions Zekis offers to help me make that habit stick. More broadly, the book provides an abundance of strategies tailored to different situations, reinforcing the idea that overcoming imposter syndrome isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey.

Zekis narrates the audiobook herself, and her delivery is both engaging and easy to follow. Her pacing is well-balanced, making it a smooth and enjoyable listen. I also appreciated the inclusion of online resources for the activities at the end of chapters—this was a great way to complement the audio format and ensure that listeners can fully engage with the material.

While this book has broad appeal, it’s especially powerful in its focus on the experiences of Black women in professional spaces. Zekis highlights the unique challenges they face while offering practical, empowering solutions.

Overall, this audiobook is an excellent resource for anyone struggling with imposter syndrome or looking for ways to step more confidently into their professional success. Zekis provides a compelling mix of research, real-world examples, and actionable advice, making this both a valuable guide and a truly inspiring listen. Highly recommended!
