Publisher's summary

The words we speak create the world in which we exist. Our words do not only affect us, but they also affect the younger, more vulnerable among us who are living in the culture we are creating and learning from the ways we communicate. Overcoming Toxic Air: A Path to Healing and Hope-Filled Exhales takes listeners on a 12-step journey to understanding the why behind the what we speak. It encourages listeners to accept social responsibility for every word personally uttered and the impact we have on others. This work challenges listeners to do the personal, reflective work of healing to embrace the power of personal influence and to make the conscious, daily decision to speak hope-filled words of life.

Leap of Faith

This was an easy listen. Practical tools laid out in a 12-step format. I love self-improvement books that call you out and motivate change! Heather shares how she took a leap of faith to follow her calling and her story is evidence of how the Lord provides! I enjoyed the reflection questions at the end of each chapter and recommend pausing to think them through with intent. You’ll find that some of her trials are relatable while others maybe you fall on the opposite end of the pendulum which is also worth exploring. Looking forward to the continuation of this series!

Inspiring!

In this book, Heather Lambert so masterfully details step-by-step ways to overcome the obstacles we often allow to paralyze us, keeping us from pursuing our passions. This is a culmination of her real-life experiences in seeking her mission, which I found interesting and entertaining to say the least, coupled with practical application of therapeutic techniques gained from years of experience and a deep understanding of theory. It is entertaining, inspiring and thought-provoking. I look forward to workshops to explore implementation. I am purchasing copies for friends because I believe it has the potential to be life altering. It is the best book of this genre I have read in years!
