About this listen

Felix thought the game was over - turns out it was just beginning....

When the game makes its first appearance in weeks, Felix can barely believe it. However, a quest relating to his father’s whereabouts is something he just can't ignore. He soon finds himself on a class field trip to Cityburg where he hopes to find the elusive professor Stein and learn the truth. Then the fuzzing begins. But feral pigeons, slime monsters, and big city thieves are the least of his worries. Felix and his friends realize they are not the only players in the game. They have walked into a PvP battleground for which they are underleveled and unprepared for. To make matters worse, the game no longer works as it did before, and now even the NPCs are in danger. Looks like a house-cat summoning Beastmaster, a nerdy Necromancer, and an ex-cheerleader Barbarian are going to need to save the world...again.

An enjoyable romp

I’ll be honest, at first I thought this was going to be a little light on depth. But after listening to the entire story, I had to set back a couple of times to recover from the nice character development and occasional twists. Pavi has a very nice vocal range and each character is immediately identifiable. These two make for a killer combo. If you like litRPG or anything adjacent, check out this series/continue it with this sequel. It’s quite enjoyable.

pretty good story

I have to admit I enjoyed this story but there was a little bit in the middle that slowed down there but I am looking forward to seeing where they go from here

Fun sequel!

This falls into the middle grade category of books for me. It has nice clean language, school-aged characters and high school drama. Overall the plot was fun with plenty of adventure. The main characters make good “game” progress through leveling and new skills. There is even a surprise ending which was an unexpected treat. The narration is terrifically executed.

Ohhhh myyy best book evarrr. You’ll half'a add this book to your pack!!!

I actually read Gamified a couple of years ago and opted to not read Player vs Player as I wasn't sure how I'd like reading something like that. But I had really enjoyed Brook Aspden's storyline and knew that I'd prolly enjoy this one too, and wow I found that now the price was just too good to pass up. Plus Pavi Proczko has a awesome narrative persona. In this story Felix along with his companions and with his Beast friend Mr Biggles and they all realize that the computer generated game isn't done playing with them. Despite shutting down the system and subsequently destroying the computer itself. There's still plenty of game left and answers to find, answers that burned in Felix's soul!!! Felix even found Patches a new Beast friend to bond with, adding to their pack...
So yeah you'll wanna grab Gamified: Player vs Player... and then hope that Brook Aspden's imaginary friends insist on telling their story one more time! That B.A. will take the time from his day job to release that story into the wild... well at least on podium books. 😆

Here's a couple of quotes that amused me:

"Larry looked over at Felix. “It’s like finding out a killer shark also does crochet on the weekends…” Felix just laughed. His girlfriend was awesome."

"Description: Is it getting hot in here? Lava is the molten anger of the bowels of the earth, it consumes everything in its path."Ohhhh my

I C.A.N.N.O.T. RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLY ENOUGH.

5 starts isn't a high enough rating for this book. I truly loved book 1, have listened to it about a dozen times so far, but with book 2 Aspden truly hit it out of the park.

the world is alive, the characters living and breathing and making it such an enjoyable experience.

if you like Isekai anime AT ALL, you simply MUST give this series a listen!

Great story!

Doing the review on the second book in the series because I was on the fence with the first. I love the story, the narration and the real life adaptations. I hope the series continues. I am officially a fan!

Great addition

This was a great addition to the series. I loved this book so much, I loved the ending so much, and it has to be in my top 20.

Everything just got better in this book, the character plot, the fighting, the story. I do think the 1st book had something the 2nd didn't, just in the sense the 1st book was the 1st book.

I loved everything about this book, it was a joy reading it, it was a nice change a pace for what I usually listen to, and that's one of the reasons I like it so much.
I feel like the plot got more detailed, and better over all, I also think it was performed very well, and that'd why I gave performance a 5 star.
the characters got more depth to them, and they grew as people. That brings us to another point. The character growth is just so good!!! you can see Felix grow as a person mentally, and how he matures. I also liked the story, it was performed really well, and that's why I rated it a 4.

I loved how well this story was written, and i think it's one of the best books in my library.
I also want to talk about the narrator, pavi really his good, and I like him alot, his narration skills really are good, and I can't wait to see more of him I'm the future!!!.
