About this listen

Once upon a time, in a little Texas town in the middle of nowhere, there lived a boy who everyone called ugly....

When half your face is covered in a big, blotchy birthmark, you get used to the staring and the whispers. You get used to feeling unwanted.

Until he walks into my bar....

Tall, gorgeous, and all kinds of out of place. And the way he looks at me ain’t like no way I've ever seen before.

Does he mean it when he says he wants to take me away from here? Nobody’s ever wanted me around for long. Can I believe Barrett when he says that’s what he wants?

Something about the word Daddy on my lips makes it all seem possible. Even if I don’t really believe anyone would want to keep an ugly boy like me forever....

***Pretty Boy is a low-ish angst, steamy, sweet daddy story with NO age play.

!!!!!!!

Seriously if you are in need of a sweet dirty grin inducing book about a boy and his daddy, well fuck you found it. This story features a falling in love story, not a fight for love, no engines to lovers or heart wrenching late in the novel doubts. This is just a right time right place love story. And it’s epic and adorable.

Sweet Daddy/boy romance

I love this story. Rich Daddy finds super sweet boy in a rural hick town, sweeps him off his feet and they both end up with a better life. Pretty boy is the first in the series. Lovely romance, great plot. Romance is first and foremost in this story, along with self esteem building and intro to Daddy kink with light spanking. There is also a group of friends, a new job, and the opening of a new philanthropic endeavor. Well written. Tim Paige and Liam DiCosimo do a great job narrating this story.

Terrific book complemented with a solid audio

What a fantastic, different book. Sterling has been dealt a challenging hand in life. He’s basically had to fend for himself and with a large birthmark on his face, he’s been subjected to ridicule, unwanted attention and isolation. Notwithstanding, he’s found a way to be strong, independent and not wallow in his circumstances. Barrett has been dealt the exact opposite hand in life. He’s rich beyond measure and has a successful career with his investment company, but he’s not tainted or corrupted by the wealth. He tries to give back.

When Barrett meets Sterling, the connection is instant and palpable and the potential Daddy/boy relationship is obvious. Barrett has his work cut out for him making Sterling believe in him when no one has ever believed in or invested in Sterling before. What unfolds is an endearing, lovely Cinderfella-esque story that I was all in for. The story expects you to believe in fairy tales because some of what develops here seems implausible in real life. But the story is so engaging that you can’t help but buy into it and get swept along.

In terms of narration, Tim Paige and Liam DiCosimo do a fine job. The characters are distinct, and there’s definitely more happening here than just reading lines. However, some of the delivery seemed a bit off or flat. I’ve listened to this pair before and I’ve always found them to be a solid narrating duo, but I’ve never been blown away by them. I do think this is one of their better outings. It definitely leaned more into a vocal performance this time and there was definite emotion communicated.

Overall, I think the audio here complements this terrific book well and I wholeheartedly recommend buying the book and the audio and doing some immersion reading for the full experience. I think you’ll really enjoy this treat of a story.

I really enjoyed this book. I love the daddy /boy aspect but even more so I just love seeing an Mc’s growth with and without their partners.

Sooo hot!!!

I didn't realize how much I liked Daddy kink until reading this book 🥰🤔 but it's actually really sweet and incredibly sexy.

I'm not sure which narrator, but the guy who reads for Barret sounds like he's reading an advertisement or is a news anchor. It's just terrible.

Super sweet, low angst book!

This was a super sweet and low angst book. Sterling has confidence issues for most of the book due to his birthmark, Barrett is slowly able to help him overcome those issues. I enjoyed Sterling's growth throughout the book, he went from a low confidence man to finally seeing his worth as a person, because Barrett continually showed him that he was loved and worthy even with the birthmark. Barrett was kind, generous and caring man from the start of the book, you didn't see as much growth from Barrett, but I don't think he really needed the growth like Sterling.

The dual narration was excellent, both narrators kept consistent voices for the characters throughout the book.

Fantastic

I read this book when it first came out and I loved it but there's just something about hearing the characters come to life in narration that makes it perfect. The story was great and listening to it just reminded me how much I loved the book. I'll definitely be listening to this one again.

Not my cup of tea but still a good book.

This book was totally Not what I was expecting. But it was a good story nonetheless. My only problem with the narration was the voice Actor reading or Barrett. The lines was reading did not quite reflect what was actually being said in his voice.
