Zombied!

I watched the movie and it was my favorite. Until I heard the audible. The book is absolutely amazing. Katherine Kellgren made the boom. She became each character and performed them so well.

Great idea, well executed, but too long

Having watched the story on film several times (but not having read the book) I was looking forward to this audio book. The idea was interesting, but it was a bit of a "one joke story" (like many mediocre comedy films). The characters also developed in a very predictable manner. Overall I found myself thinking the whole thing could have been a bit shorter. The technical execution of the idea was, however, excellent.

Excellent blending of Austen and Unmentionables

A thoroughly delightful listen! Graham-Smith has kept the essence of Austen's characters while integrating Unmentionables and a delightful side of Karma. Kellgren narrate so perfectly, adding in all the right touches of emotion to make this one of my new favorites.

So much class while beheading the undead!

I really loved this book! It was so much better than the movie!! I laughed much more at the book & it was wonderfully narrated! The movie cut out & changed some of the best parts! I recommend reading this book & not seeing the movie...the movie was only good for the costumes & pretty girls! LOL

A Wonderful Read

I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a new spin on a classic tale.

Zombie Mamma Drama

There were some moments that felt drawn out and yet the lighthearted tone to this novel along with the mix of Kung fu, ninjas, deadly arts, zombies and the British refined settings from Jane Austen are to well blended to pass up.

Ms. Kellgren was a delight to listen to and added great infection and animation as to open one's eyes to the characters, settings and drama that unfolded. A must for those who love mashups and also for those who love zombies and dry British humor.

Would you consider the audio edition of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies to be better than the print version?

I don't have a lot of time to actually sit and read books so having them read to me a wonderful way to hear so many stories. I find it helps to bring the story to life.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Elizabeth was my favorite. She tries to make everyone happy and never considers herself really, it's always for the greater good.

What does Katherine Kellgren bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her narration makes the characters come to life. Like listening to a conversation.

If you could rename Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, what would you call it?

I wouldn't it.

Extremely entertaining!!!

Loved the narrator, loved how writer blended the zombies in since I dont really care for any zombies movies or books. I was hesitant about getting this book a few years ago when I read Lincoln The Vampire Slayer, which was awesome, but when the movie was due out and critics were giving it thumbs up, I had to get this book prior to watching the movie. I loved it so much I am getting the prequel and sequel to this book.

Strangely Good

It was strangely very good and I still don't understand how they could have mashed these two completely different ideas together. However they complete baffled me and the book excelled fantastically in my opinion
