Good with a different tempo
Rapid tempo with shorter sentence structure, reminiscent of old Mickey Spillane stories. 3-4 story lines that meshed well. Not great but solid and entertaining.

Another good Patterson story
The story was good, but a little too predictable. The characters are interesting, but their lives are unrealistic and somewhat hard to relate to. Overall a good listen, especially while making a long drive.

Too many characters and story threads.
I am a James Patterson fan. Usually I can't put his books down. I really struggled to finish this book. The narrator's voice made me not like the main character.

One of the worst books I’ve ever suffered through
Though read very well, the story line of this book was really AWEFUL Normally I gravitate to a James Patterson novel because of the twists and turns and well written plot. This one however was so far below my expectations. I had read another Private book and remembered enjoying it. The main character in the book now is an unbelievable womanizing jerk. Really- readers are supposed to like this guy and believe he just has everyone’s best interests at heart? Ugh what a waste of time
