Stress lowering Techniques anyone can apply.

This book has a lot of practical help within. I enjoyed the way I can easily utilize the key techniques taught by the author. I especially like the information about improving negative thought.

I work at staying positive and turning off negative thoughts. My mind starts wandering through a menagerie of possible outcomes for any given circumstance and I have to stay aware when negative thoughts enter. I guess I was very good at worrying and I'm headed towards correcting that. This book has given me more tools for my toolbox to relieve stress and negative thinking.

I think it's great that this was a quick listen. Only 48 minutes. It surprises me how much was packed into that 48 minutes. Some books barely get out of the shoot in the first 48 minutes but Author Scott Colter jumps right into the subject without the fluff other books sometimes add. If you want a quick delivery of “ no nonsense “ technics and tricks to aid in distressing and lowering your anxiety. This book is a good choice.

The narration was read at a good articulate pace by Jason Mitchell. Jason Mitchell seems to have his serious voice on for this. I think the book would have been more enjoyable if Mr. Mitchell's inflection was less textbook lecturer and more motivational speaker.

The takeaway. The book left me with easy to learn helpful technics for reducing stress and anxiety. I spend a lot of time on the road for work and listen to a lot of audible books. I enjoyed being able to listen to this book all in less then one commute. I've gone back over specific parts of this book to learn and practice the techniques at home that evening after originally listening to this book to make sure I have the techniques correct. The instructions are easy to follow and well thought out.

Stress

If you could sum up Psychology: Conquer the Battle of Your Mind with Powerful Techniques to Overcome Stress, Anxiety and Negative Thinking in three words, what would they be?

Way too short

What was one of the most memorable moments of Psychology: Conquer the Battle of Your Mind with Powerful Techniques to Overcome Stress, Anxiety and Negative Thinking?

Looking at the signs that someone is a negative thinker. That was very interesting.

What about Jason Mitchell’s performance did you like?

Jason's voice is very good for this type of book. I felt like I was in a psychologist's office.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Psychology: Conquer the Battle of Your Mind with Powerful Techniques to Overcome Stress, Anxiety and Negative Thinking?

This is where the book lost a star. I felt that the book was really well read, and there was a good introduction to stress and all, but it felt way too short. I really wish there would have been more details and more help offered. This book could and should have been hours longer.

Any additional comments?

A Thorough Overlook at Dealing With Anxiety

PSYCHOLOGY is a good and fairly comprehensive look at stress, anxiety, and negative thoughts that can invade and disrupt our daily lives and ways in which we can learn to manage and even overcome the small stuff. SCOTT COLTER does a nice job explaining things in layman's terms for anyone to understand. It's a quick listen, however it covers a lot. For someone frequently on the go, it's the perfect length.

This audiobook covers cognitive behavior therapy or CBT and offers coping skills as well as a time management plan. To list a few; exercise, walking, breathing, helping others, and allowing time for self. It also discusses mindfulness. I think this book would be helpful and a quick listen for anyone interested in identifying and/or addressing these issues.

JASON MITCHELL does a good job narrating this book. He speaks clearly and is understandable. His pace is perfect. He keeps an even tone which fits with the content.

Good explanation of ailments

Good explanation of ailments but not a very broad set of tools for beating them

not for mental health professionals

Very basic info, good if you have no knowledge in the field, otherwise a waste of time & $.
