Critic reviews

Publish with Purpose is unlike any other book you’ve read before. Yes, it’s a book on writing. Sort of...And it’s also a book on marketing. Sort of...But what it really is, is a cross-over book that looks at how writing and marketing (and everything else you do related to your book) are interconnected. And that’s what makes this book different.” (Taken from the Foreword by Penny Sansevieri, CEO of Author Marketing Experts)

Letter to Future Self

This book should be in anyone who works in the publishing industry.
It helps authors understand the importance of setting goals.
It reminds the rest of the field, how to keep to our goals and to never discount the dreams of the authors we take on because there are things to look for in an author and their project if the number of books sold is not the main point of it all.

Read Before You Write

This is a great audiobook on “writing” for your specific audience. It’s read by the author, a successful publisher with a laundry list of notable clients and colleagues. They often consult with her before beginning a project. Her team then redirects the message in a matter most likely to result in sales. If you are seeking to submit your manuscript to this publisher here’s how to do it correctly. This was likely the motivation for the book, though not articulated. Want to leverage your book for speaking gigs and increase your influence? Clearly and concisely fill out the free worksheets available on the author/publisher’s website. One who excelled at the exercise sold over a million copies her first year. I liked the parts about reader avatars, advice for nonfiction writers, and stories of previously unknown authors breaking through to notoriety. It’s easy to listen to while driving, and will keep you focused on success.
