Great story, very well performed.
Where does Purple Moon rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is really well done. The reader does a great job of letting you know who is speaking and it feels very natural listening to the story.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Purple Moon?
I think the whole story is really memorable, but if I have to pick just one I would say leading up to and just after the car wreck.
What does Michelle Sargent bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Her reading is smooth and fun, she does a great job of varying for different characters and she helps bring the story to life.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
When Selena moves in with her cousin for the summer, he life becomes a whirlwind of internal conflict between the life she wants and the life she knows.

Well developed characters
An in-depth look at the personal struggles of a teenage girl.
Selena's parents are divorced. Her mother is a recovering alcoholic. While her mother recovers, Selena has to live with her aunt, uncle, and cousin. They don't really want her there. She doesn't want to be there either. Austin and his friends care about Selena and that makes a difference in her life, For once, people care about her for who she is.
Selena isn't perfect. She makes some bad decisions. We get to grow with her as she learns and matures.
