A new classic in my family!

I shared this book and the first in the series (The Discovery of Purr Power) with my 5 year old niece and she wanted to listen again and again. I love how the author introduces concepts like kindness and empathy and Margaret in the story encourages my niece to use her big imagination to have fun and problem-solve.

A Science Project Explains “Magical” Power

This book is about Margaret, who witnessed how the purrs of two kittens helped make her widowed grandmother happy in “The Discovery of Purr Power,” which I have enthusiastically reviewed. In that book, it was suggested that what seemed to Margarget to be magic was the helpful effect of the particular sounds and frequency of the kittens’ purrs. It is now a few years later, and our future scientist has, for her Science Fair, built a machine–the Purr Power 2000–that replicates these sounds and frequencies. As sweetly told and narrated as the earlier book, this teaches about using science to answer questions and how much fun education can be.

Cool kids' book

I love this book for its brevity. It is very age-appropriate and will be loved by kids. It's very enlightening. I hope to get the paperback as a gift for my god-kid.
