Publisher's summary
This “beautiful, brave book,” (Jenna Bush Hager, the Today show) is the story of Rebel Wilson’s remarkable personal transformation, from a painfully shy child in Australia who literally had to be dragged to drama classes and achieved break-out success in the US through iconic roles in Pitch Perfect, Bridesmaids, and Isn’t It Romantic.
Through “stunningly personal revelations” (The New York Times), Rebel shares the extraordinary experiences that shaped her life. A malaria-induced hallucination? An all-style martial arts fighting tournament? Junior handling at dog shows? And this was all BEFORE she moved to Hollywood!
From her painful relationship with her father, weight gain and loss, a late-in-life sexual awakening and fertility issues, Rebel shares her incredible journey to self-love in writing that is “frank and fun” (CBS Sunday Morning). Rebel leads you through her hard-fought path to “making it,” constantly questioning, “Am I good enough? Will I ever find love? Will I ever change and become healthy?”
This extraordinarily entertaining memoir shows us how to love ourselves while making us laugh uncontrollably.

In a gay nightclub in Orlando on June 12, 2016, the shooter, Omar Mateen, murdered 49 people and wounded 53 others. The attack was the deadliest act of violence against the LGBTQ+ community in US history and the deadliest terrorist attack in the United States since 9/11. But there’s a story you haven’t heard. The FBI had a secret history with the shooter and his father. To obscure that history, the FBI pushed a false story that the media dutifully carried—that the attacker was a secretly gay Islamist extremist who had chosen to target Pulse and planned the attack for weeks.

Story
Best-selling author Bryan Burrough recently made a shocking discovery: The small town of Temple, Texas, where he had grown up, had harbored a dark secret. One of his high school classmates, Danny Corwin, was a vicious serial killer. In this chilling tale, Burrough raises important questions of whether serial killers can be recognized before they kill or rehabilitated after they do. It is also a story of Texas politics and power that led the good citizens of the town of Temple to enable a demon who was their worst nightmare.

Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

For his victims, for their families and for the investigators tasked with finding him, the senselessness and brutality of the Golden State Killer's acts were matched only by the powerlessness they felt at failing to uncover his identity. Then, on April 24, 2018, authorities arrested 72-year-old Joseph James DeAngelo at his home in Citrus Heights, Calif., based on DNA evidence linked to the crimes. Amazingly, it seemed, evil finally had a name. Please note: This work contains descriptions of violent crime and sexual assault and may not be suitable for all listeners.

I’ve been a big fan for quite some time! It was great to get to know more about the person behind some of my favorite characters. She is a great role model for you people and the book was very well done! As someone who also struggles with her weight but is still body positive and loves herself it was nice to see that someone else relates so well to my feelings on these issues! Keep crushing it Rebel!

Insightful, thoughtful, and Entertaining
I truly enjoyed getting to know Rebel’s story. She tells it all, providing private thoughts, guilt, troubling experiences both personally and professionally, gains and losses, lifelong challenges, and her quest for self-love, happiness, and the miracle of becoming a parent. While I am not an actor, I was stunned be the many parallels of our life experiences. Rebel’s messages are candid and important. Her journey has been raw and natural, and there are many lessons for the reader. I highly recommend this book.

Fan or not, this is a fantastic book
I’ve never followed career or story but her name is recognizable and nostalgic to my 37 year old self. I needed something to listen to on a work trip and picked this because I thought it would be silly and easily digestible. But instead I was sobbing at some parts and saw my own story here and there. I was so moved by her vulnerability and couldn’t stop listening. Thought provoking, entertaining, and insightful.

Appreciation Grows
Like most moviegoers, I have always appreciated Rebel Wilson‘s comedy and fearlessness without really known much about her. This book changes that. Very revealing, very thoughtful, and very, very, very funny. Gives a new and greater appreciation for this extraordinary talent who has a lot to say and says it with conviction and intelligence.
