Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author and radio host Mark R. Levin comes a searing plea for a return to America's most sacred values.

In Rediscovering Americanism, Mark R. Levin revisits the founders' warnings about the perils of overreach by the federal government and concludes that the men who created our country would be outraged and disappointed to see where we've ended up.

Levin returns to the impassioned question he's explored in each of his best-selling books: How do we save our exceptional country? Because our values are in such a precarious state, he argues that a restoration to the essential truths on which our country was founded has never been more urgent. Understanding these principles, in Levin's words, can "serve as the antidote to tyrannical regimes and governments". Rediscovering Americanism is not an exercise in nostalgia but an appeal to his fellow citizens to reverse course.

This essential book brings Levin's celebrated, sophisticated analysis to the troubling question of America's future and reminds us what we must restore for the sake of our children and our children's children.

Great outline of the totalitarian progressives

Gives a bunch of good authors to look up to understand the radical left and defend republican governance and capitalism.

Excellent though abstract

Though filled with the political philosophy of the Founding, it only begins to describe Americanism.

Better read.

I love the information contained, but hard to follow quoted material in an audio format.

Perhaps Mark Levin's best book yet!

This is a phenomenal book and a must read for anyone wishing to understand the pernicious ideologiy that has slowly eroded human liberty and especiaĺly that foremost manifestation of the enlightenment and human liberty: the American. Constitution and Republican form of Government.

The only criticism I have is of the performance which does not sufficiently differentiate the extensive quotations from Levin's text. This makes it more difficult to lisren to and follow Levin's arguments.

Ovrall a wonderful book and a pleasure to 'read'

Deep and well written but lacking narration format

Mark Levin delved deeply into the historic subject matter. Unfortunately the narration format was lacking in an important aspect: quotes.

Without a notable change in inflection or any mention of "quote / end quote" it was frequently very difficult to discern where a quote finished and the author resumed. Hope this is taken into strong consideration in future iterations by this audio publisher.

The only part I didn't like: that it ended.

Past books were excellent, and read by the author. Very good narrator, but author would have been better.

Needs clearer quote definition

The performer needs to make it more clear when quotes start and stop. I found it difficult at times (especially on long quotes) to tell when he was back to the author. a voice change or "end quote" statement would have made it more clear.

This was awesome!

The content and its presentation were outstanding. Mark has hit another homerun. I cannot wait to read his next book.

Much needed history lesson

I will need to listen more than once. Something with this much value is not easily absorbed.
