Publisher's summary

Christianity is not about rituals but changed hearts. In the prophetic tradition of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Eric Metaxas calls slumbering Christians to battle.

Picking up where he left off in his electrifying Letter to the American Church, Eric Metaxas renews and deepens his call to believers not to “practice” their faith but to live it—heroically and with joy.

Invoking famous but misunderstood words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, he shows that God’s answer to evil is “religionless Christianity”—the rejection of religiosity and the embrace of a living and active faith, one that consumes the whole person and affects every aspect of his life. The awakening of this faith will bring revival, a “new birth of freedom,” and a renaissance of Christian culture.

A stirring call to arms to the American Church

I was impressed by the clarity of the author's analysis of the current situation in American society and the power of his challenge to rise to the need of the hour.

a great pair to Letter to the American Church

Loved it. Hope Church truly seek the Lord, arise and take back what we've allowed to be lost. He will make us victorious.

Outstanding

Another amazing book by today’s C.S. Lewis. The author’s ability to simply complex theological topics is unmatched.

The best days are yet to come.

A must read for all - churched, detatched and unchurched - patriots. If we answer the call and come together, the best days are yet to come.

Bravo! The Church Should Be Saying This!

Metaxas has a meta view of God’s story and he applies to life here and now, points out the pattern in history, and challenges us to see and live it in our lives. The Church should be doing this instead of suppressing it.

Part 2 of Metaxas’ warning to the church in the USA

The book is the second part (the first being: Letter to the American Church) of Metaxas’ warning to the church and Christian believers in the USA. An important read for Christians who are concerned about the evangelical church’s drift from biblical orthodoxy.

Aspire to greatness, just going along will be fatal

Aspire to greatness. Just going along, not making waves, will be fatal. When The God of creation inspires works like this, are you 'safe' to ignore it?
