Healing solitude (which is beyond loneliness) and self-realization are themes that flow throughout this title in a refreshing, authentic voice. Resurrecting Bunny describes a journey of transformation through inner experience beyond any religious dogma.

Publisher's summary

From a long life deeply reflected upon, it is a bright jewel offered to anyone seeking a way to evolve gracefully and with passion - an added gift is the imaginative and whimsical art which fills your mind as you listen along.

A tale of East meets West, the author, who is steeped in Eastern religions, offers a unique approach to Christianity and to non-religious spirituality. Healing solitude (which is beyond loneliness) and self-realization are themes that flow throughout this title in a refreshing, authentic voice.

Resurrecting Bunny describes a journey of transformation through inner experience beyond any religious dogma. To experience wholeness/holiness in one's essence is the birthright of every human being. It is to be found in one's heart. This is truly a life-changing audiobook and also, quite simply, a fun listen with inspirational content. Through sometimes hilarious experiences, at its heart, this story carries a message of hope.

A long-time yogi, the author is also grounded in Christian contemplative mysticism and jazz.

A self-directed spiritual life

"Resurrecting Bunny" is quite an unusual audio recording, because the voice of the author/narrator, Georgann Low (aka Bunny), is so authentic and true. Once I started listening to it, I didn’t want to stop. Some of the stories had a heaviness to them, but they were told with a light, gilded touch, as if Low were walking through and remembering them by tracing her fingertips over them, which did not diminish the pain or beauty but converted them both to art. Her stories, it seemed to me, were all perfectly chosen to move the narrative along its arc, just as her life choices had moved her along her spiritual path.

As a woman who is probably close in age to the author, I resonated with her past and recalled my own stories. I laughed out loud several times, felt occasionally teary, and kept hearing myself say, “Right on…” I love what she has brought to her Christian mysticism, and it reminded me of Christ himself, who had no dogma and taught only to love, forgive, and refrain from judgment.

I also felt like she spent just the right amount of time on each subject she decided to write about. I was left wanting, but not needing, to know more—like when you’ve been served a good meal or listened to fine music. In fact, I almost felt like her intention was to sing her story (she is a jazz singer, after all), and she did it through her very own brand of spoken word, complete with an occasional sigh or chuckle. No polished narrator practicing her schtick, Low’s narration was as worth listening to as the story itself. And she has a way of making you feel like she’s aware of your presence.

I have enjoyed the journey with Bunny very much. I can’t put to words why I just feel calm and good.
