About this listen

Can Dolli’s poisonous past save her from a dungeon eater?

Dolli was just getting to like the idea of being the overlord of Monster Haven when a roaming Warmonger set his eyes on her dungeon core. Some of her citizens have defected to the enemy horde for the promise of safety, and now Dolli has a choice to make. Does she wipe them out to save those who remain, or does she sacrifice herself to save them all?

But the defectors don’t know that the Warmonger has an even more sinister plot than just consuming Dolli’s core—and when they finally see his true monstrous nature, will it be too late? Dolli needs a killer cure, a poison so toxic it might wreck her and the enemy. She needs...a Hero.

Great continuation

Can’t wait to listen to 3. Book is awesome and narrator does a great job. Especially doing the different voices, some narrators struggle big time with that.

Should have saved this boss for the last story.

I'll be honest I really disliked the christmas characters in this book. Nothing against the author I personally just hate the holiday and anything to do with it. I understand why a game would have it involved but I can only come up with one explanation for why it was involved in the story. Also the main bad guy of this story seems a little to OP for them to actually defeat. Regardless of how you explain it the bad guys seemed designed as a NPC who cleans up old quest and dungeons the programmers no longer want or need. If that's true then I find the whole idea of them winning laughable. I did enjoy the dungeon transformation at the end tho.

Nice continuation to the story

I find I like the MC and her people.
The dungeon aspect is different from typical dungeon core stories as well.
I really like the narrator as well

Solid continuation from the last

While the perk descriptions get a little repetitive and interrupt the flow it’s genuinely a good read. There’s a little bit of an excess of description and much less show than tell. But still fun and fitting for its setting.

Seriously I'm glad I stuck with the series!

I am glad I continued the series. As the first book was kinda a slow starter and it seemingly took a while perk my interest! A lotta world building. But I've read JD Astra before and enjoyed her work so since it was free with my Audible plus membership. How could I resist?
I found that listening to Revenging Dungeon was fun, even a bit cute. Well if you can imagine edge-of-your-seat action as Dungeon Core's fight, winner take all, cute. But I swear JD Astra did it! And Judy Alice Lee kept up as she narrated this saga. Now on to the third and final book in this series ARC!

Great anti Hero twist

Really enjoying this series! I love stories from the perspective of the dungeons and their inhabitants!

The horde is coming

Revenging Dungeon

Dollitrice is getting the hang of being a dungeon overlord. She is actively directing and helping fend off the heroes. There is even time to relax and enjoy themselves. That is when they find out that they are in the path of the dungeon destroying horde.

I’m really enjoying the twist on the series from this one! It’s got some fun interactions between Dolli and the other dungeon mobs and the heroes. I’m excited to see how it wraps up in book 3! At the time I listened, the entire trilogy was included with an Audible subscription. Judy Alice Lee does a great job with the narration!
