After the apocalypse in 2017, the nation went to civil war. This is what now remains. A simpler life. The rebuilding is well on its way. Some of the things that made life easier before are functioning again, and life has returned to a "semi-normal" state.

It's Karma for Sandi and those involved in the Loyalists who stopped Lewellen's coup from taking over America. For every enemy they injured and every life they took, there is a friend, associate, or family member hell-bent on revenge.

Sandi is my new hero! I loved this story!

East Lake Tahoe … the apocalypse is over, the civil war’s in the past, and what’s left is slowly being put to rights, but the nefarious haven’t forgotten … they plot, they conspire, they demand payment … Sandi Carlyle … a survivor, strong savvy, and not afraid to take matters into her own hands … underestimate her, and you might not live to tell the tale! Nick Smith … shady, mysterious, charming and charismatic … is he a danger from Sandi’s past, or is he her savior? Only one thing is certain, there is a “Ripple in the Waves” , and Sandi will need ALL her wits and weapons to survive! This story consumed me! Tense and action packed, I was kept guessing right up to the stunning reveal … and there will be no spoilers … far be it from me to give away any of the jaw droppers in this one! I will however, gleefully tell you that Sandi is my hero! The way she innocently plays “puppeteer” to orchestrate this story’s stunning conclusion had me whooping AND fist pumping! It was so good, and such a surprise, that I just HAD to listen to the ENTIRE story again to see if I could spot it coming ~ and nope, I couldn’t! Sandi isn’t the only genius at work here ~ that credit goes to our extremely talented author! I loved this story! The emotion and action were plentiful and perfect! The characters were fully drawn, beautifully developed and felt strikingly human. I came to care for most of them. I say most because there were a few that I would have cheerfully invited to batting practice … to be the ball, and I’m certain that was by wonderful design! There’s nothing like a great ne’er do well or three (or four or more…) to get your blood pumping! I should also mention that this story stands alone beautifully! I had no issues understanding or following ~ everything was explained perfectly, with a smooth easy flow! I really enjoyed the time I spent in Sandi’s world. She is my new hero! Five fantastic stars!
