About this listen

He's got a touch that's hotter than hot.

It took a hell of a lot of fast-talking and more than a few speeding tickets before Mitch Thompson convinced Constable Anna Coleman to take him for a ride. Only now that she's loosened off her stiff RCMP uniform, it's not nearly enough. Their secret sexual escapades are mind blowing, but Mitch wants more than her body, he wants her heart.

Her world could go up in flames.

It's a dangerous road to walk, and Anna doesn't know how far she can safely tread. Bad boy Mitch may have lured her wild side out to play, but giving in to their increasingly passionate desires could endanger her very civilized career. Somewhere between yearning and obsession there has to be a balance point.

Or they're both going to get burned.

Enjoyed this story

Good story. At first I didn't like it but I keep listening and I really got into it. The first of this story was hard to follow and I wasn't sure if I could finish but give it a chance because it gets so much better than the start.

Entertaining

Even though this is a part of a series it can be read or listen to as a standalone.
Plenty of depth to the storyline with characters that have the ability to draw you
into the world.
The relationship between the two main characters definitely has some up and downs
to it which makes it a great story.
The narrator has done a brilliant job of bringing the characters and book alive.

Nice light listen

super light listen, sweet hero who is a good guy but can be a very bad boy. the heroine was cute and likeable. i wish the pseudo bad guy in the book got something a bit more karmaish but overall i was entertained. Oh, and the smexy times were good.

Love This Story

Vivian continues to wow her readers with this off shoot of the 6-pack Ranch series. I loved Anna Coleman's strength and integrity, and Mitch is just HOT!

Another good story by this author.

When you follow a favorite writer sometimes you begin to notice the same troupe/plot device in every publication. In other words, if you have read one, you've read them all. This is my 3rd book by this writer and one of the things I like about her tales is the variance, especially in her characters. They are well developed and not cookie cutter "alpha" men which makes it easy to invest in them. Even her "players" have vulnerable layers to them. IMO, gentleness, compassion, and the ability to be intimate is what real strength is about in human beings. I found the main male character, Gage, to be, well, very engaging.

In conclusion, I would have rated this book a 5 star except I thought the plot was a little weak. However, the story is saved by an accidental medical occurrence and the character development which held my interest. I look forward to reading/listening to more of this author's works in the future.

Don't mess with a Coleman

This is a bad boy/good girl story. Mitch Thompson is a tatted up mechanic who works hard and plays harder. Anna Coleman is a RMCP Constable who is all work and no play. That is until these two hook up. Anna wants their hookups to be a secret. Mitch wants to take her out and make their relationship public. He feels like a dirty little secret with the way things are. Anna finally relents and they make a list of things they want to do together. On their first date they're in the middle of having fun when her co-workers show up for no reason. On another date, they run into one of her co-workers who reports back to her boss what he saw. It's like the Gods don't want them to be together.

After Mitch has another run in with one of her co-workers, he decides he's not good for her and breaks up with her. Both he and Anna are miserable, but he doesn't want to do anything that will hurt her career. Little does he know that her co-worker has misled him and is out to promote himself instead of Anna. When the truth comes out, the fireworks will shoot off. You know the old adage about a woman scorned ...

Tatiana Sokolov narrates this book and manages to bring in more voices than in the past. She handles multiple male characters without them sounding the same.

Loved 6 Pack Ranch - Off to a New Great Series!

Hot off her Six Pack Ranch cowboy series, Vivian Arend is full steam ahead with the motor heads in the Thompson's and Son series.

Mitch Thompson owns a garage with his brothers for auto repair. But never mind that…

Mitch and Constable Anna Coleman are fantasy, hookups partners only. However, Mitch wants more than that and he's going to try his best to convince Anna that she wants more than that, as well.

At only four hours long there isn't much time for a deep and intricate plot, but there is enough of one to hold the story together. If you're paying attention to the plot!

I've used this example before, it applies here; this book is like your favorite candy – oh so good but empty calories.

I like that it is set in Canada and Tatiana Sokolov does what she does best – bringing sexy characters on the page to life.

Notes: For the 17+ crowd for language as well as "mature" content

Great, entertaining read

I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention the entire time. I loved watching Mitch and Anna figure things out and come together. They have been sneaking around and getting physical for a little while but Mitch wants to take things further and actually date Anna. I loved how he went about bringing that up and bringing out the other side to Anna that she has kept hidden for so long. He can see that fire burning and wants to show her that it is okay to let that part of her out, explore and accept it. They definitely have some obstacles to overcome with the judgements that happen with him being a tattooed biker, a legal one, and her being RCMP. I loved how they embraced being together and bringing out the best. This story is on the shorter side but not too short and we get to see plenty of development between our characters and within the characters throughout the story. It had plenty to hold my attention the entire time and I loved seeing them work everything out. I can't wait for the next one!
The narrator did a great job with the story and characters and bringing it to life.
