quick hitter, strong emotional response
for a short title, I really enjoyed the look into this conquered America. The characters Molles inserts in are seen in a brief period that still evokes strong emotional response. I'd definitely keep reading.

Excellent Teaser
Just enough meat to leave me wanting more. Kind of a Red Dawn vibe to it. Showed the frustration of the oppressed through the eyes and actions of the two boys. One representing the people who chafe under the thumb of their captors and ready to take action. The other meek and submissive as so many are, despite saying otherwise. Despite being hardened soldiers, the oppressors also have a human side as well, in not killing two boys when so many cruel soldiers would have. Promises to be a good story.

I wish all writers did this
This prequel was perfect. Just right to get you jazzed for his new book that comes out next month. I truly wish all writers would put out a small free prequel. I think it would really help to get people excited for the next book. As always Molles is a fantastic writer.
