About this listen

Sometimes the grown-ups have all the fun.

Wendy came to the Never Isles to get away from the stress of everyday life. To find adventure and maybe even a little bit of romance. What she didn't expect was to get swept up by the charming sea captain with a gleam in his eye. A gleam that told her he wanted to do wicked things to her and lord help her she might just let him.

James wasn't looking for adventure, he'd had his share in the navy. After a dishonorable discharge for a crime he didn't commit, he was friendless, jobless, and on the run. His only solitude was the Never Isles where nobody knew his name. Until she literally fell into his arms. Can he find solace in her carefree heart before his past crimes catch up with him?

H-O-T & Wonderful!!

What did you love best about Pirate?

The story isn't exactly as you think it will be!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Not just one fave but two...James and Wendy. They are wonderful together and I loved both of them!

Which scene was your favorite?

All of them! I loved this story from beginning to end!!

Any additional comments?

This is one HOT listen!! The narrators are wonderful and do the story justice! Lisa Zimmerman narrated the story at a really nice pace and did character voices excellently! Kale Williams could read a phone book and make it sound sexy! This is a wonderfully steamy retelling of an old fairy tale. I will be suggesting this to my friends!

Wait . . . Captain Hook is the hero?

This is the 2nd version of the "Peter Pan" story I've come across where the roles Peter Pan and Captain Hook are reversed. Peter Pan is evil and Caption Hook (or Captain James Tinker - yeah, I caught that too!) is the hero. A different concept . . . that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This was a short story about fae and Peter Pan. The story was okay but the performers were good.

Love Happily ever after books

I will admit I was worried that I was going to get an ending that would have made me content with only a few minutes left. I enjoyed the book. Found the character with just enough friction to make the get to know each other portion satisfying. And glad the brother gets it in the end.

Saving grace was the sex scenes

James and Wendy were appealing for different reasons. She from across the pond and he a military man on the outside trying to do right. Peter was most certainly not one that I would like to meet, ever.

The twist of this fairytale was intriguing. The narration was the stand out of the story. The accents. The diction and tones were on point.
