Publisher's summary

A full-length standalone from USA Today best-selling author R. S. Grey. There are overlapping characters from The Duet, but both books can be read separately.

Five minutes until the interview begins. Fresh on the heels of her college graduation, Cameron Heart has landed an interview at a prestigious architecture firm. Four minutes until the interview. She knows she's only there because the owner, Grayson Cole, is her older sister's friend. Three minutes. For the last seven years, Grayson has been the most intimidating man Cammie has ever had the pleasure - or displeasure - of being around. Two minutes. But the job opportunity is too good to pass up. So, Cammie will have to ignore the fact that Grayson is handsome enough to have his own national holiday. One. After all, she shouldn't feel that way about her new boss. And he will be her new boss....

"I'm not intimidated by you," I said with a confident smile.

"Perhaps we should fix that, Ms. Heart. Close the door."

Enjoyable coming into yourself romance

I enjoyed the whole story. Narration was good but I do prefer dual narrators but was worth the listen in my book ( so short review on the motorcycle lol )

The Female lead was difficult to like

It was difficult to see past the total lack of character development in the female lead and the lack of backbone in the lead male.

Loved ir!! Só funny...

It couldn’t be more enjoyable and sweet. Listening to Camie and Grayson story was like a stroll in the park.
After a rocky start and a lot of surprises, there is a great HEA...😍

A little better than the previous book

Chapter 2: in the 3 hours she waited, couldn't she have called someone to bring pantyhose?

Unfortunate

My third novel by R.S. Grey but I couldn’t finish it. I’m about a third of the way through and it’s just too dumb. You don’t care about any of the characters but worse of all the leading lady is extremely annoying. I’d pass and move on.

An Unhealthy Obsession

Let me point out right away how these two characters are perfect for each other. Both are immature, obsessed, manipulative characters.Ok I can understand Cami being only 22 and not having much experience in relationships, but once Grayson clued her in to his attraction to her,she was over the top and desperate to get his attentions.Grayson on the other hand is 30,should have plenty experience and was hoping maturity to deal with a young woman’s crush, professionally and sensitively to Cami’s feelings and naivety, instead he was cruel by clueing her into exactly what him and his”current”girlfriend were doing sexually and flaunting her in front of Cami around work, etc. They both were playing a game with each others emotions like junior high school kids.I wanted to slap Cami to get a dang clue and slap Grayson just because he’s such a d!€k in this book.

Really?!

This is how you know money and dreams don't really mean anything. I mean what woman would really completely jeopardize her once in a lifetime career for a relationship (fling) that isn't even serious. Also she doesn't really realize that yes she is being childish because he's the boss/owner and she is a lowly new hire. Wth... and do you really want a guy who can say he wants you one minute the. literally screw someone else hours later? Honestly this is painful.

Ughh!!!

I really wanted to like this book. I usually always enjoy this author and the book has a great plot but omg the “heroine” was SOOOOOOO immature. I always see reviews where people say someone is immature but I’ve never really felt it for myself (maybe I’m a little immature myself) but this was too much. She was a petty child really. I could hardly finish the book because of her. I only finished it because as always the author is so good. But this character wasn’t it for me. Ugh! So frustrating.
