Publisher's summary

Graham Russell and I weren't made for one another.

I was driven by emotion; he was apathetic. I dreamed while he lived in nightmares. I cried when he had no tears to shed.

Despite his frozen heart and my readiness to run, we sometimes shared seconds. Seconds when our eyes locked and we saw each other's secrets. Seconds when his lips tasted my fears and I breathed in his pains. Seconds when we both imagined what it would be like to love one another.

Those seconds left us floating, but when reality knocked us sideways, gravity forced us to descend.

Graham Russell wasn't a man who knew how to love, and I wasn't a woman who knew how to either. Yet if I had the chance to fall again, I'd fall with him forever.

Even if we were destined to crash against solid ground.

4 The Gravity of Us Stars

First I am going to say it… I did NOT like Graham through most of this book, but he does grow on you. His heart was sooo closed off for so many years. It’s no wonder he was so cold. But as I said he thaws and so does that heart of his and when he finally lets someone in well it is pretty sweet.

Lucille aka Lucy carries so much hurt and pain inside of her, she feel so much of everything. She might be a free spirit on the outside but she isn’t on the inside. She isn’t free to be who she is because she is busy being for everyone else.

Both characters go through ups and downs, and there friendship is what drew me the most. I loved that they both opened up and were themselves with each other without forcing it.

There were a few scenes that really cracked me up, the yoga scenes both of them were really great. And I liked the meeting of the girl at the funeral. She was funny when she looked into her lap and said what she did.

Over all I enjoyed this installment of the series, was it my favorite no, but that’s ok it was a great book and one I am glad I listened to.

And let’s talk about the narrators; Erin is a favorite female narrator of mine. So right there I was hooked she always makes it seem like your apart of the story.
Brian too is a great male narrator and I love everything he has done. So him being Graham was fantastic, I love his voice.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

While I love this author and all of her books, I found this book to a little predictable. I knew where it was going from the beginning and when the "bomb" dropped I had been waiting for it.

I have to say though that I loved how the author made Graham grow so much in this book. At first I wasn't sure if there was anything that could make me like him. I like guys who can be jerks but he was just an Ass in the beginning for no reason. By the end he had grown on me so much! Love a happy ending that makes your heart smile!

Erin Mallon is amazing! I love her narration and love when she works all alone! Her male voice is perfect and she doesn't even need a co-narrator!

Sweet

This story is like all of Brittainy Cherry's books. Filled with love, heartbreak, life lessons and sweetness.

Graham has a hardened heart, Lucy has the softest. Together there is bound to be a whole lot of drama, all tied up with a little girl named Talon.

There are a few things that I just didn't understand. Lucy's sister Mara is one of them. The reasons for her decisions were a little difficult for me to believe but for the most part I thoroughly enjoyed the story.

Erin Mallon was perfection. She always is. She really embodied the free spirit of Lucy. Brian Pallino was good. His female voice comes across a little disingenuous but otherwise great.

A top 2017 listen! Excellent all around romance ❤️

Just when I thought Cherry's words couldn't be any more beautiful... she writes the achingly stunning love story of Lucy and Graham. SO. Many. FEELS.

Lucy is the support of her family; a free-spirit who wears her heart on her sleeve. Graham is a reclusive best-selling well-known author with a damaged and cold personality, contrary to his handsome face and Greek-god body. Perhaps it's the book nerd in me, but he is the epitome of my ideal man. Cliche I know. Yet, put the cliche in the hands of a talented wordsmith like Cherry, and it's transformed into a masterpiece of sentences that I had to read over and over, like this:

"He kissed me to say goodbye, and I kissed him to pray for more seconds. He kissed me to give me his love, and I kissed him to give him mine. He kissed me with his always, and I kissed him with my forever."

Again, I was captured in the poetic lullaby audio book version of this tale. The narration was impeccable. The voice inflection of certain conversation responses that weren't necessarily captured in the prose, was delivered flawlessly and added a little something extra that I would not have picked-up on while reading.

This story was something I needed right now. I related a lot to Graham's character. I identified with his anger, hurt, and coping mechanism of shutting out all emotion. I loved how he used his quiet patience and his super observation skills to fiercely protect those he loves.
When Lucy and Graham cross paths, I could feel her light, her positive outlook, and her influence on melting Graham's heart.

"In that moment, he promised her all of him, even the cracks—they were, after all, where the light shined through."

This book calmed my own anger and healed my heart. It gave me hope. It introduced me to an inspirational character of Lucy. I want to be like her; to mimic her strength and loyalty, to fight and defend her family, and embrace her ability to feel and accept all emotions and feelings.

This is absolutely a top read of 2017 for me!!

Heartwarming love story!

A cold closed off man meets a free spirited loving woman in this audiobook by Brittany Cherry. There are three sisters in this story and the book is just as much about their relationship as it is the romance between the hero and heroine. Does our upbringing create who we really are or do we define that ourselves? That's the question that's the center of this story. Told in a captivating narrative, this audiobook kept me wanting to hear more. The narration was well performed also.

A beautiful masterpiece. Brittainy Cherry is :)

I read this ages ago and I can't believe I didn't leave a review. This book has stuck with me and I've done a re-read or two. It is magnificent and I recommend it to many!! Erin Mallon and Brian Pallino are superstars in this audiobook. Brittainy C. Cherry writes a masterful story of heartbreak, loss, self-discovery and new hope,

I really enjoyed that the romance was a slow burn. The foundation they built their love on was believable and had me rooting for them both to find their happiness. The narration was spot on, bringing grumpy Graham cracker and hippie Lucille to life, Erin Mallon and Brian Pallino brought such emotion, vulnerability and beauty to this narration and the emotions that emerged from me while listening is a true testament to the power of audiobooks.

“Because that was the thing about hearts –when you thought they were completely full, you somehow found room to add a little more love”

5 huge stars!!

meh...

this guy treated the chick like dirt. I mean if he was not a rich hot guy, no one in their roght mind wouldve stayed. what a terrible person. I,could get past that. performance was good, story was decent... the MC was just a terrible person for 80% of the book. also, there is one sex scene. only one. it was a good one but this is not a hot and steamy book by any means

I loved this book even though I wanted to smack a couple sisters. I loved the unique storyline and the main characters were well written. This is a re-read for me.

Broken, but love heals, enjoyed reading this story more than listening. Narration was just okay. Brittainy Cherry is a true story teller.

WoW! Just WoW! Couldn’t stop listening…

This is a story about a famous but cold writer and a “weird hippie.”

The story is endearing, gripping and I found myself shed a tear…

It would have been 5 stars but chapter 31 really put a wrench in things… too much unnecessary and woe-is-me monologue…

If you are looking to cry, be held in a chokehold by a really good book, dive in this… there was 1 🌶️ scene unfortunately but still really good story!
