Sam reminds me of the horses we rescue. Scarred, skittish, and…strong. Beautiful. He’s a bit of a hat-stealer, and, truth be told, I’m a little leery of his chosen profession. The things he does in front of a camera...well, it makes me blush just thinkin' about it. But if that scar on his face is any indication, he could use somebody at his back. I aim to be that person. It’s on Audible Plus.
It’s not too bad. I have trouble figuring out which character the narrator is reading since she does not distinguish enough between the two main characters. Since the series is on Audible Plus for now, I will continue on with the rest at the 1.4x. So far, I still have the same complaint for the second book.

Interesting storyline with great potential
Interesting start to this series. It’s a decent story line and I see that the series will potentially get better and deeper but a different narrator would be a great improvement.

confusing start
confusing start with the first person speaking not easy to recognize gender and age. with such a strong sexual explosion of storyline. It did take a few minutes for me to get passed. I'm glad I did it turned out to be a lovely story. I will be moving on to the next in the series. listen and enjoy

Wasn’t sure how this was going to go. Boyd was such a cocky cowboy. Audrey a sweet doctor new to the small town. Once she learned everything about him and his family she wasn’t scared and didn’t run from it all. Just got hurt by a bully and then realized she didn’t need to feel that way. What a great ending.

Needs dual narration
The female narrator is awesome, however her male voice isn’t. They should really use a male voice. I did get used to her voice but would have given five stars if it had been a male.
