Publisher's summary

Now a USA Today best seller.

If your ex arrives in your hometown 18 months after you walked out on him while you were eight months pregnant, follow this short list of rules before you give him a second chance.

  • Rule 1 - Don’t stand in the way of your brothers who want to rough him up.
  • Rule 2 - Don’t meet him for coffee and agree to allow him to meet your daughter.
  • Rule 3 - Don’t drool when your daughter falls asleep on his chest for the first time. It’s just your ovaries talking.
  • Rule 4 - Don’t let him hold your hand. While we’re at it, no hugs, no kisses on the cheek...just no physical contact in general. That only leads to remembering better times.

The last one is the most important...

  • Rule 5 - When you find yourself needing someone’s help and you’re tired of always asking your family, don’t let him be the one who’s there for you.

Because all those good qualities of his will suck you right back in and you’ll have no chance of fighting your feelings, especially now that he’s ready to be a father to your daughter.

New narrators to me

I have been early awaiting Sedona’s story but knowing that this is the second to last book in the series, it was bittersweet to start this read. To me the Bailey’s have become like a family to me, I have become invested in their lives and it’s like coming home when I pick up their books.
Piper Rayne write strong characters that are so easy to relate to and they are not afraid to show them in all their flawed glory. Sedona and Jamison’s second chance at love story and the journey that they embark on show this perhaps more than the other stories in the series have.
I was hooked from the first to the last chapter and there were plenty of surprises. I admit that there were times that I really disliked Jamison, it really took a while for me to warm up to him. However, such is the writing of Piper Rayne, they managed to turn my opinion around and I ended up admiring all that he did to prove he had changed. Sedona really came into her own in this book, she stepped up and I adored her relationship with Palmer.
Can Sedona and Jamison come to terms with the past and take another chance that this time things will be better? I love that you also get to catch up with all the other couples as well and get the latest gossip from Lake Starlight, Alaska.
Both the narrators were new to me but I loved them and was fully invested in their performances.

Love The Baileys

I love The Baileys series by Piper Rayne and excited to finally get Sedona Bailey’s story. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook and the narrators brought the characters and story to life.

story of redemption, love and family

I always like to listen to narrator's with accents but the male narrator sounded old and the female narrator did a good job with the irish accent she probably could of did the whole book by herself. the story line was good ex footballer or what American's call soccer player gets injured and his life spirals out of control . He loses the one women he loves and his baby and he must win them back and go through her siblings .

Answers given

Loved this book! The end of the previous book left it on a bit of a cliffhanger. So I was dying to hear this. Also more answers were given and we got a bit of an intro to Ethel’s (Grandma Dori’s BFF) family, getting us ready for the Green Family. Jamieson and Sedona’s story was a tough one but it was a amazing to see just how strong these two are!! Such an amazing series. Also the narration was fantastic. Meg Sylvan..... wow, all the voices you had to do was unreal, outstanding work by her. Joel Froomkin is a new narrator for me and I enjoyed him to!! If you haven’t read this series it’s a must!

Sad to Say Good-Bye

Jameson and Sedona’s story was a great ending to The Bailey series. There is a bonus scene if you also bought the e-book. I just wish we had gotten a little peak into Juno and Colton’s life in the future. They were basically left out of this story…but can’t really complain. Definitely recommend this book and series!
