Pretty Good Storyline

This book was suspenseful and interesting. The narrators did a great job with characters. Down to earth scenario. I enjoyed it.

🌻It’s Lara Adrian, so of course it’s awesome!🌻

I really enjoyed this book, overall, however I wish it was as long and intense as Dominic’s story. I always enjoy a longer story.

The only thing I didn’t like was how the angst was developed. It’s so commonly used that it seems to be an author’s lazy attempt to build angst; when one character lies or keeps secrets from another. It was obvious from the beginning, what was going to happen.

Other than the romantic element of the book, there is mystery and suspense. The Heroine has a stocker and the Hero is doing his best to discover who the stocker is and why she is the chosen target, all while trying to keep her safe and in the dark about what is happening (the angst I referred to). Both the Hero and the Heroine have deep emotional scars that they battle, during the midst of the story. In addition, the Hero struggles with his insecurities with his injuries he received in the war; including the loss of his lower leg. The Heroine struggles with shame she feels about her history of substance abuse and eating disorders. This story definitely has lots of emotional ups and downs and I shed tears more than once. Even though I don’t consider it a five star listen, it is still a very worthy listen.

Interesting Backstories

Two damaged people come together and help each other heal. The journey is not easy though as danger surrounds them. A beautiful love story with a HEA. The end was just a little abrupt.

Narrators

I liked the story, but the guy narrstoring the woman’s part wasn’t good. Would have liked more of Nick Blain.

Should've Thought Twice Before I Bought This One!!

Full disclosure, I only bought Run to You because it was narrated by Wesleigh Siobhan and not even she could save this book. It started out pretty good but, as the book progressed, it started to drag and the plot got weak. Lets talk about Gabriel's relationship with his father. This man pretty much treated Gabriel like trash his entire life. This treatment was allowed to go on by his mom and older brother without anything being said. When he damn near gets killed overseas, his father doesn't even bother to visit Gabe while he's in the hospital. With that being said, ALL of the father's behavior and treatment of Gabe was forgiven with one conversation?!!! And, in the end, he gave him a weak azz explanation why he treated Gabe so horribly. Come on now! Insert a very frustrated look here. Moving on to Andrew. How do you NOT tell your sister she has a stalker?!!! There is just no rational explanation for that. That part of the story line was egregiously stupid! Evelyn. Lets talk about her. Is she black or white?!!! Up until the first sex scene , I thought she was a white woman but, during their first sexual encounter, Gabe said he pulled her dress down over her light brown skin and he referred to her nipples as dark as chocolate. He made other references in the book that made me believe she was black as well but, I just wasn't 100% sure. Color me confused because, I still don't know. And, lets not talk about who turned out to be the stalker. Really?!!! Wesleigh Siobhan did an outstanding job as always but, I wasn't impressed with Jeremy York. He did an okay job but, when he narrated the sex scenes, he made them sound very amateurish. It was almost comical listening to him. Wesleigh did a much better job with the sex scenes. Overall, this book was not worth a credit and I am seriously considering returning it.

It is a porn book

the description should include the fact that it is very graphic and quite honestly TMI. Weak story line. Lots of very descriptive BTSM and then a quick wrap up. I only finished it because I paid for it. Ridiculous. No substance.
