Pretty Good Storyline

This book was suspenseful and interesting. The narrators did a great job with characters. Down to earth scenario. I enjoyed it.

Interesting Backstories

Two damaged people come together and help each other heal. The journey is not easy though as danger surrounds them. A beautiful love story with a HEA. The end was just a little abrupt.

Narrators

I liked the story, but the guy narrstoring the woman’s part wasn’t good. Would have liked more of Nick Blain.

I absolutely loved it.

The relationship between Eve and Gabe was so beautiful, from the was it developed to an all consuming love it’s just beautiful.

I recommend reading the whole series.

I really enjoyed this book, overall, however I wish it was as long and intense as Dominic’s story. I always enjoy a longer story.

The only thing I didn’t like was how the angst was developed. It’s so commonly used that it seems to be an author’s lazy attempt to build angst; when one character lies or keeps secrets from another. It was obvious from the beginning, what was going to happen.

Other than the romantic element of the book, there is mystery and suspense. The Heroine has a stocker and the Hero is doing his best to discover who the stocker is and why she is the chosen target, all while trying to keep her safe and in the dark about what is happening (the angst I referred to). Both the Hero and the Heroine have deep emotional scars that they battle, during the midst of the story. In addition, the Hero struggles with his insecurities with his injuries he received in the war; including the loss of his lower leg. The Heroine struggles with shame she feels about her history of substance abuse and eating disorders. This story definitely has lots of emotional ups and downs and I shed tears more than once. Even though I don’t consider it a five star listen, it is still a very worthy listen.

Decent Story

I'm not sure why some rated this as a DNF or porn or heavy BDSM.

There was nothing porn about the book and to say that it was heavy with BDSM is not true considering bondage was not mentioned until 5 hours later in the 9 hours plus audiobook.

Several lines in the book could have been revamped but overall it was a decent listen.

Shocking

I did not enjoy this story like I did with Avery/Nick. There were some shocking parts that made me very interested in the next and final story about Jared. This story was sweet but predictable with some darkness.

I cannot express how much I fell in love with this story gay and Evie I mean a beautiful model who falls in love with the ex-military soldier who has a disability everyone deserve love and this storyline definitely delivered can't wait to read more I need a story about Daniel and him finding a love interest that's what I need okay

Disability Representation!

I love how seamlessly Lara included moments of Gabe's and other's use of prosthetic limbs and wheelchair sports.

The story was raw with the past traumas each of them experienced and har the truths and lies come out in a way that could be easily overcome.

I also liked that this was a one and done tale and not dragged out over multiple books.

Outstanding

I enjoyed this book too, and I’m glad that the both the couples are going to have a nice life together. The whole series is a good read.
