Publisher's summary

He’s a broken man searching through the past for answers.

She’s his childhood best friend he had no idea he was in love with.

Thomas Capshaw never thought he’d put his dreams of being a sketch artist on the back burner and end up working in New York City far from home. The very last thing he expects is the inheritance of his famous grandfather’s beach cottage on the sandy shores of Florida where he spent his childhood summers.

Emeline Fischer is an aspiring artist trying to make ends meet, working an assortment of odd jobs while painting her dreams on canvas in hopes of landing her own gallery show, someday. When she is Thomas’ waitress during her shift at the local beach diner, she immediately recognizes her sensitive childhood friend who promised, long ago, to protect her from her unstable home life when they were teens.

The two friends take a journey into their past through a box of photos left behind at Cap Cottage and rediscover their mutual passion for art - and each other. Thomas doesn’t plan to fall in love with Emmy - but, maybe, he’s always been in love with her.

Can he forgive himself for his past mistakes and start over in the only place that ever felt like home? Or, will his guilt and the demands of his cutthroat, big-city career prevent him from following his heart and reuniting with the only woman he ever truly loved?

Run to the Sea AUDIO BOOK by KG Fletcher

I’m a fan of KG Fletcher. Every book I’ve read has been awesome. This audiobook was no different. The female narrator did a wonderful job at pulling you into the story. I’ve read this e-book before and it was great, but listening to it was wonderful. I loved the picture painted by the words I listened to. These characters are relatable and I can’t get enough of this series. I recommend the Reigning Hearts series AND KG Fletcher!

Book 1 - Reigning Hearts

This is book 1 in Fletcher's new series Reigning Hearts. A beautiful romance listen of second chances. Our main characters are Tom (Capy) and Emeline (Em) who were inseparable as children gowning up but time and distance have broken their bond. With current circumstances Tom has returned to his childhood town and reconnected with Em and realizes that their bond as children is even stronger now that they are adults but there are other forces at work - some good and some not so good. Will these two get their hea or will hurts keep them apart?

A well written romance with great characters (loved Em's bestie Ginger) and smooth flowing storyline that was easy to follow and enjoy. Looking forward to listening to the next in this series.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I am providing this voluntary review.

Love!

KG Fletcher’s story about childhood friends turned lovers is wonderfully told! The setting is perfect and her reading of her own book was lovely too.

My fav of KG Fletchers!

Wanna ‘run to the sea’ and get away? Well I do believe the that KG Fletcher has managed to encapsulate the perfect little weekend getaway between the covers of Run to the Sea. I absolutely could sit here and tell you for hours my favorite moments in this novel, there were many and truly it’d turn into a verbatim quote by quote review so you would only miss out on the good stuff for yourself that way. Instead I will tell you this is one of those books that just about anyone can relate to. We have all been at that point in our life that our MC’s were in, questioning every decision we ever made and if we are truly where we should be at this point in life. The moments worth making into a novel are the ones in which we make pivotal decisions in what we definitely need going forward. Cappy and Emmy both find themselves in this moment and we get a front row seat to all of the beautiful emotion, drama, laughter, love, and memories that accompany this.

I couldn’t stop listening from page one to the very end and found myself devouring it in just one short snowy afternoon. The scenery and the way that Fletcher writes it is transformative in the sense that I felt as if I was right there breathing in the salty sea air and dragging my toes in the warm sand. I would say every moment was worth every bit of a five star rating and I can’t wait to find out what will come next from the pen of KG Fletcher!

Childhood Reunion

4.5 stars - Such a sweet and poignant story. Once childhood best friends, Thomas (Cappy) and Emmaline lost touch when he went off to college. Each had things that arose during their years apart that they had to work past - one trauma, the other regret. My heart broke several times throughout the book before it soared with the steamy union of these fated souls.

This is the first time I've read or listened to a book from KG Fletcher but it won't be the last. The only thing I didn't like was what Fiona got away with but the author did keep her true to character as she was beyond self-centered.

As I've alluded to, I listened to this book. (Thanks Kelly for the free copy!) The narrator is the author. I think she was great as Emmaline and I'll give her props for Fiona, Rusty, and other characters but a male narrator for Thomas would've been preferred. Of course, that's always my preference, especially when there are dual POVs.

Story: 4.5 stars
Narration: 4 stars

Must Listen!!

5/5 Stars

Run to the Sea: Reigning Hearts, Book 1 by K.G. Fletcher AUDIO BOOK

This is the first book I've listened to by KG Fletcher. I thought she was a fantastic author, but she knows what she's doing. As the narrator of her own story just makes me love her more.

Emeline works multiple jobs to be sure her dream comes true. Running into an old friend changes everything. She sees the changes in Thomas and feels horrible. The quote I chose for Emeline is: "I'm so sorry for your loss Cappie. I know you must miss him. He was a great man."

Thomas comes back into his hometown only to find that his old friend is still there. He's surprised when he found out that she went to his grandfather's funeral. He has always been in love with her and doesn't know what to do about it. The quote I chose for Thomas is: "Yes, he was. I'm sorry I couldn't make it until now. It's been rough."

Highly recommended for romance lovers.

Friends to lovers meets second chance romance

K.G Fletcher's writing has this way to transport you into the here and now of what the characters are experiencing.
Em and Cappy are two characters that I couldn't find one fault in. I absolutely adored their friends to lovers story especially because it's a few years later and they still had this spark between them. It makes you believe that love does last.
I'm assuming by the name being the same that the Author is also the narrator. I've come to find that I actually like it more when the authors narrate their own books because they have a closer bond with the characters.
I see that the next book in the series is also available, I'm grabbing it now.

Run to the Sea

Run to the Sea is such a touching story. I went through the full range of emotions... I strongly disliked one particular character, and loved others, there were times of terrible sadness and extreme joy. I know this story will stick with me.

K.G. Fletcher is so talented. She writes with such feeling and her story is so real. She also did an amazing job with the narration. I felt as if I was witnessing everything play out firsthand.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Awesome!!

Run to the Sea (Reigning Hearts Book One) AUDIO BOOK by KG Fletcher

5 ++++ Stars

Emeline and Cappy's story in the author’s own voice..OH MY!

It's been well over a year since I read the ebook version of this story and when I saw that it was released on audio I was thrilled, but then I saw that the author was reading this book herself, I was totally over the moon. Who better to put the feelings into the words then the author herself! I'm glad it has been awhile since I read it because it's been long enough to where it still felt fresh and I fell in love all over again!

I loved these people and the story about their bond as teens and how they came back together as friends dealing with the loss of a character who quickly became one of my favorites in this book. The scene with the box and the missing ring literally took my breath away and that's when Pop completely won my heart.

I love how she transported me right into the story, I could see everything clearly and feel like I was right there in the same room with these people. I'm so excited that she has also done the reading and has released Stars Fall From The Sky on Audio as well as that book stands up in some of my all time favorites, I loved Ginger in this story and can't wait to add this to my audible library.

Grab this book or grab this audible, it is amazing and I'm sure you will love following Emeline and Cappy’s story as much as I did. This author did an amazing job narrating and my only fear now is that I'll never want to read another of her books because I will want her to read them to me! LOL and of course I'm kidding because I'll read anything this author writes!!

Phenomenal!!

Run to the Sea

Run to the Sea by K.G. Fletcher
Narrated by Kelly Genelle Fletcher
4.5 Stars

Run to the Sea is the first book in the first book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher. It is a contemporary romance that is wonderfully written with characters that really put you on an emotional roller coaster. Thomas Capshaw and Emiline Fisher were childhood friends who lost touch. When Thomas comes back to town to settle his grandfathers affairs, he and Em rekindle there friendship which might turn into something more. This book had me laughing, crying and wanting to throw my kindle on the ground. This to me makes a great book. I can’t wait to read/listen to the next book in this series. K.G. Is one of my must read authors. I highly recommend this book.
This book was narrated by Kelly Genelle Fletcher. This is the first book I have listened to by Kelly. She really brings the characters to life. Her voice is smooth and easy to listen to.
