Resumen del Editor

Santa Clara, Colorado, is 24 hours by train from the land where Smoke Jensen found peace and prosperity on his Sugarloaf Ranch. But somehow, Smoke can’t stay away from Santa Clara - and from an evil cattle baron hiding a murderous past.

For Smoke, it starts at a high-class auction for a pureblood Hereford bull. Smoke wins the bidding - and earns the hatred of Pogue Quentin, Santa Clara’s leading citizen and a man living on bloodshed and lies. Then Smoke’s friend Pearlie drifts to Santa Clara. And when Pearlie runs afoul of Quentin, all hell will break loose. Now Smoke Jensen is heading to Santa Clara to face a man who already wants him dead - but Pogue Quentin never met anything like the fire of a mountain man....

Performed by Dylan Lynch, James Lewis, Drew Kopas, Elizabeth Jernigan, Richard Rohan, Johann Dettweiler, David Coyne, Bradley Smith, Nanette Savard, Christopher Graybill, Michael John Casey, Ken Jackson, Eric Messner, Thomas Keegan, Kimberly Gilbert, Alexander Strain, Joe Brack, Nick DePinto, Christopher Scheeren, Steven Carpenter.

No hanging out for Perlie.

I liked this book. I missed a book where Perlie got married and left the Sugarloaf. Happy to see that Smoke and friends were able to come to rescue.

SMOKE JENSEN

This is another good adventure about Smoke. In this book Smoke is trying to buy to buy a prize bull. Pearly has gone off on his own for a little while mourning his recently married wife being killed. Smoke makes an enemy with Pouge Quentin that wanted the bull. A war breaks out and ironically Pearly shows up at the right time to help. I like all of these books. But this one is one of my favorite. A five star for sure. I'll listen to it over again later. This is a movie in your mind style of book with several narrators. (Dramatized).
